Default 427 build complete - 500/520

Hello,

I don't like the experience I had with the dyno shop I chose. I feel like there is more horse power to be found with the current setup. It put down 498whp 518wtq @ 12.9 AFR. There are parts of this build that I am changing in the some-what near future, as well as going with a different dyno tuner. This build is meant for Forced Induction (9.8:1 CR ) - however I am compelled to maximize its' current N/A state.

Internal:

427 TSP Shortblock
PRC 247cc 68cc chamber heads (Yes, CATHEDRAL, bring on the hate, that's ok :-))
235/244 .629/.615 112+4
-20cc Wiseco Pistons
.040 Cometic Head Gaskets
Trunion upgraded rockers

External:
Intake manifold: 102 FTP lid --> 100mm MAF --> 102mm Fabricated Aluminum 5.75" runner length
Headers: 1 3/4 Primaries to 3" Collectors
36lb injectors that are riding on their limits

Near future changes for now:

Ditching the Fab. Aluminum Intake - replacing with either:
Fast 102 LSXR, or MSD 102mm
Ditching stock coils, replacing with truck coils
Switching to 1 7/8 headers still to 3" primaries
42lb injectors (or 60+lb injectors depending on how quickly I go forced induction)

Forced induction:

Eyeing an F1A for now.

Thanks,
Andy

Can we see the dyno graph ?
What RPM did hp peak at?

Playing with one of those fuel Injectors calculators seems like eight 42# injectors at 58 psi fuel pressure at 80% duty cycle calculate to be good for about 535-540 whp NA. At 90% duty cycle they should do about 600 whp NA . That might be OK for now but probably too small for forced induction because the 42's at 58 psi with 90% duty cycle in a forced induction calculate to support ~ 500 whp.

Really hot humid texas day...

Id say youre on par for a low comp boost motor with a small boost cam!!!

Leave it alone if doing f1a. youre gonna waste alot of money going back and forth.
Add headers definitely.
What fuel pump? use the 42lb inj also. youll need 72lb+ for that F1A.
Leave the intake on it.
Get a second set of heads and mill em down to bring cr up. Something with a 227-237 runner.
Your cam is ok as long as you optimize the rest, itll be great for boost.
Did you measure pushrods?
What 427? Ls7 block or ls3 block?

Do forced induction and let it ride.

Seems right for the small headers and low compression.
