See Darth........likely a complete waste of typing there.

I told him several times it looks like he could turn it harder.

So doing a little math with the tq & gear ratio equation. The only gear that would seem to benefit from higher revs is first. As the graph I have doesn't go that high just guessing where the tq would be. It could be between 7400-7500 rpm? No matter really. Second gear is right on at about 7200 rpm. For third gear it shows really no need to rev over about 7050 rpm. Little equations like that are cool to check out.

It wouldn't surprise me if you want a different shift point for each gear. Even extrapolating out your torque curve that far, it's not perfect, but it gives a pretty good idea. But basically, you just ignore all the bullshit and maximize your torque at the tires after considering all your gear multiplication (NOT the engine dyno curve torque). That usually means maximizing your engine power curve. Were you surprised after you multiply your engine torque times transmission gear times rear gear how much torque you actually put to the tires? it's a lot.

He should be at different shift points with that trans.....we all should with a 2.66 first gear. The gear splits get tighter as you go up through the gear box.

11.0@131 log here. Notice how i inch the shift points back.
