Makes me want to swap out my Gen 3 4.8 for a Gen 4 (or at least the rods/pistons). I get squeamish everytime I hit 7400 on the gen 3 stuff.

this is a gen 4 engine and it has head studs, just factory gaskets and heads.

Think about this for a second or less.... WHY would the SMALLEST displacement LS V8 have a LONGER stroked than the rest??

Great work guys! Have a similar setup with a s480 in my colorado. First track day ever on the entire truck we ran a mid 6 at 102 with low timing on 20#. Good to hear your having luck. Keep up the updates for us pheasants. What studs you running in that thing and timing up top?
