I guys forget GM normally under rates engines even though they say SAE rated. I bet 60-65 hp drop isn’t a real percentage

It's not lying. They simply read the HP at a lower RPM. The most blatant examples of that were the Ford 428 CobraJet and Chevy 427 ZL1.

Back in those days, yes. Today the procedure is done with an official from SAE witnessing and certifying the event. Been that way since 2005 I believe. Here’s a link...

LOL Yeah that WAS the bad ol' days when they could BS the numbers to keep insurance rates down. Good times.... lol
