Default Crazy numbers from motor.

I have a question being a newb,

I have a 02 Firehawk and was told a few things about it. Had it dyno’d and it put down 480whp NA.
Was told only thing was done to it was a Cam
and intake for the most part. I’m guessing there would be head work done, maybe internals, fueling etc. . .

has a LG G5X3 cam, Fast Intake (older), headers (catted), FTP lid

Am I correct thinking it had more, or is this what they typically put down?

That dyno chart doesn't look right at all. If I paid for a dyno and was given that sheet, I'd be pissed!

I mean.....peak torque at 6100-6200 RPMs? Nah......that ain't right!

The peak TQ number would be in the 4,800 rpm range not 6,200 rpm. The hp line would not be still climbing like that but have started to level off at 5,500 with maybe a peak around 6,000 rpm or so (it would also not climb at a 45 degree angle like that but some of that could be scaling). Based on the line climb in the chart above there that is like a 550+ hp at like 7,000+ rpm as it is climbing at a 45 degree angle. I saw a couple of cammed 2002 Firehawk videos and they were around 400/380 hp and tq. I am sure someone has something similar here and can chime in. BTW peak tq and hp are usually about a 1,200 to 1,500 rpm delta so a at 6,200 peak tq number is like 7,500 peak hp.

Was told the graph looks like that because of a low compression, big cam. You need to rev the **** out of it to make the power. 🤷🏻‍♂️

There is something way off about this. That looks nothing like a typical NA H/C/I curve.

That's so odd, what would a shop have to gain by giving you such a flawed dyno sheet? Maybe they mixed up the results? Were you there to watch?

No I was not, I bought the car and that was one of the selling points. If I would known what I know now, probably would of not bought it. It’s super clean with a bunch of other stuff done.
I was looking for a solid 11s 4th gen . . .

I think I got taken, the shop is legit though too and is known for Building Ls1s. It’s possible I have some unicorn, but I seriously doubt it.
im gonna try and get it in myself and see. Along with some track action. .

Take it to the track and the MPH will tell you how much H.P. you engine is making.

Is this a T56 car? Take it to the track: trap speed, with your ~3900 race weight, will be your best sanity check. Hard to say the graph is wrong since we can't say for sure what kind of dyno this is - "looking wrong" by itself is not conclusive. It *appears* to be a graph of a max effort heads and donkey dick cam build with all the trimmings (FAST, headers, duals, etc.) that is also plotted weird, like they monkeyed with the X and Y axes. Go run it, compare here: https://robrobinette.com/et.htm and then you will know for sure. Regardless of ET, if you trap 120 (+/- a couple) and this thing is a lopey pig off the line, I would definitely call it legit. If you are much off of that (say 117 or less), I would say they mixed up your graph...intentionally or accidentally.

A cam only LS1 is not going to make that much power, even if Corona built it....

1:1 is 4th gear, that is what they used...at least according to what we see and dyno SOP. Using the wrong gear would look WAY crazier than this curve...
