Those are good Numbers, I would say more compression and a different camshaft choice matched to the rest of your combo would result in more power.

would a bump in compression add 35+hp to add up to 470rwhp?

I think you have to account not every car is the same, and Tony Mamo's car has a custom built camshaft not just an off the shelf one in addition to the compression gain. I think that's where the real power difference is...

I bet that tonys car doesnt have cats on it either. I know alot of guys need to be emissions leagal but I wouldnt expect 450+ numbers without alot of cubes or power adder with the cats in place and no cutout.

So Tony making 480 through the cats? damn I need to get some of that "special dyno time" at that shop. Must be Something Simular to those special track rentals where anything goes I guess.

I think its all in the cam and the compression plus the cats dont help, you guys got to remember these are right out of the box, no porting, imagine what a port job could do to these heads. I think your looking good considering no one has really seen what these can do yet, its gonna take time to see what works with these heads and what dont. Thanks for the quick dyno time with the new setup.

Arent these heads were the cnc ported heads?

I dont see anything wrong with the cam he has in the car. Its a nice stick that has made good power even with stock heads in other cars.

McRat made 448 with his car with afr`s but im not sure if he had cats.

the under the curve gain is very healthy, though its still one of the shittiest tq curves i've ever seen . 350rwtq @ 400 is for a fullbolt on h/c setup

I'd ditch the cats. Corsa's flow well so a cutout is probably not necessary. I'd almost bet money that you'd pick up at least 10rwhp&tq without cats on there.

I don't see why everyone is surprised. I can't remember any everyday customer matching the numbers put out by a company's car or a company sponsored car.

Jason at Thunder put out 450rwhp w/ the T-Rex, has anyone else done it?

Now these guys at AFR pull 470rwhp w/ a 224/228 cam. Do you really expect anyone else to match that?

Of course not. These manufactors pay (in one way or another) the sponsored customers or shops to somehow get those numbers up. This is what sells parts. If a shop came on here tomorrow and posted they made 500rwhp cam only w/ the XR126 cam, then they'd have 20 orders for them the next day. I don't know why people see one dyno graph and immeadiately grab their wallets.

Compression, Compression, Compression..... Tony's heads are also probably hand finished and that alone is good for a few ponies. 1 full point is probably worth 3 - 5%. Bone stock LS1s have been known to have ring issues also...
