Default Fastech 395 Intimidator - 506rwhp

We just finished up dynoing and tuning on our Intimidator 395 (all stroke) motor. The vehicle is a Z06 Corvette. Motor is stock LS6 block with 4.125" crank and about 11:1 compression. The heads are LS6 and hand-ported by our local guy. Not sure if he wants flow numbers made public yet. The cam is a Fastech grind and is 244/250. It was a warm day, but we still managed 506rwhp. This was with 19" wheels on the car, belt, etc. Other mods are electric WP, Kooks Headers, no cats, FAST 90mm, 90mm TB, and through the exhaust. We also fabbed up a real nice direct port kit on this car, so more numbers to come on the spray in a few days

19" wheels nucka and 3.90 gears

FYI, you can get 11rwhp by removing the belt on one of those cars.

I would not have guessed that a stock bore, 4.125 stroke would spin to 7000 like that.

How much do you think was gained by the extra 12 cubes? Would that same set-up (90 mm intake, 244 cam, EWP) in a 383 come in around 500 rwhp?

We should be able to get there with a little higher compression. This setup runs good on pump gas at 28* timing and is an MN6 car. Doubt we can get there with an auto.

Ray, the internals on this engine are Lunati. 4.125" stroke with stock bore. We haven't received our AFR heads yet. We are getting castings and having our local guy do the heads. We will then try them on our 427 Predator car, which currently has LS6 heads and makes 550rwhp. Our goal is to make 600rwhp NA with the 427, AFR heads, and a bigger cam. Currently, the 427 has the same cam as this 395 engine.

By next year, the LS2 blocks will become available and you can build a 402 with a stock block and a 4-inch crank. This is assuming all the available parts now work in the LS2 block. Other option is a 421 with a .030-over iron block and 4-inch stroke.
