See, now everyone says that the Trex is "a pain to drive around town" or that "you need gears," but every graph I see has it making over 200 hp at 3000 rpm, which is way better than stock.
So what gives? Does the below 3000 RPM power just drop off the face of the earth or what?

Fireball: From the graph, it looks like you peaked around 6200 rpms and carried it to about 6500 rpms. You shift at 7000 rpms for best results due to the drastic drop in between shifts. Since Im running a very efficient auto. (200-4R) and a converter with really good shift extension (Yank PT4400), would I need to shift as high as you to stay in the powerband? More than likely not, any idea where I would need to shift?

I haven't redynoed since I retarded the cam 2*. I imagine the peaks occur ~200 rpm later. Picked up 1.4 mph. Im guessing a 15 RWHP gain due to torque curve shift.
as far as shift points...you need to try different ones and determine what your car likes best... Mine ETs best at 7K and recovers around 5200

So when you retard a cam, it moves the powerband up, but when you advance a cam, it moves the powerband back? Why did you retard the cam in the first place? Why would you want to shift higher than it already needs to be? Why do you think you picked up torque when retarding the cam 2º?

i have my graph in front of me but my scanner isnt hooked up to my cpu
but at 3000 im making 160hp and 280tq by 3500 im up to 225hp 350tq so im guessing the 3000 reading may be a lil low from the initial hit on the dyno and at peak hp 6800 im makin 442.4rwhp and 347rwtq so i have 350rwtq from 3500-6800 basically, with a peak torque of almost 390 at 5000
