I got some strange results with that cam and the 2E heads.... I guess I am splitting hairs but my rwhp was about ten shy of what I thought and my rwtq about 10 higher than I thought I would get. Hp peaked right at 6300rpm, TQ peaked at 4300-4400rpm.

I got 412rwhp and 393rwtq. With all the mods in my sig plus the following setttings:

AFR 13 to 1
Timing 28-29 degrees

There was no KR for any of my dyno pulls...

Good Luck,

I see that you went with a 115lsa, why is that? doesn't a 115lsa push the peaks higher in the rpm range than say a 112 but yet your peaks don't seam to be at a high rpm, wierd????

I wanted to improve the idle quality, and it does idle very nice (900rpm) with NO idle tuning needed. It never bogs or stumbles... Yes, 115 lsa should push the power higher in the rpm range, but I made max hp at 6300... It (115 lsa) should also lower tq out put but I made more than I thought... I had kind-of predicted 420/380 given my cam speaks... Oh well, like I said I may be splitting hairs at this point... I will post a dyno later today.

I'll have G1 ET results soon. I just haven't had time to get it to the track. I will be hard to beat my little C1 though.

My G1 is the standard grind on a 113 LSA.

I may get some dyno#s as well, but I'm not a big dyno fan myself.

I'll keep you posted as results are available.

That is exactly what I want in my GTO!!! SMOOOOTH idle that rips to 400 RWHP at just over 6000 RPM!!!

Well, I don't have Dyno#s, but I did get to run it at an 1/8 mile event yesterday. We turned a few 6.9Xs with 1.49 60fts at 96-97 mph. I'm not disappointed. We still need to tune it in. The air was decent at -400 DA and 90% humidity and we were running almost a 1/2 tank of gas. This was with the wife driving the entire event. We'll see some 10.7xs within the next few months.

I just wish our car was a stripper like some of the others out there. That would be SWEET!!

I may have dyno#s soon. I'll post them when I get them.

Take care.

That cam is IDENTICAL to the LG G5x1 cam. Do a search on that and you will get some numbers.

These cams haven't been out very long. There will be some additional data coming soon I'm sure. The G1 has some unique design characteristics that separate it from the similiar cams.

It sure suits my needs. I am limited to a cam that truely offers nice drivability qualities and was afraid I may have over shot, but I was pleasantly surprised.

FWIW-There is NO magic cam. You have to select a cam wisely to meet your needs and match your combination.

See ya at the track!!!!

A little off the subject but your 1/8 mile numbers are great. What are your other mods?
What was your race weight?

John- I listed our mods below for ya. Our race weight is right at 3380 +/- with the driver depending on current amount of fuel. This car is a full power/leather/t-top SS or we would be able to get it lighter. I hope the racing season is good to us weather wise.

2001 Camaro SS
A4 4L60E with good clutches-no shift kit
3.23 stock GM gears-10 bolt beefed up a bit
Yanked PT4200
FLP headers with y-pipe and single bullet (hell yeah it's loud, but the wife likes it that way)

MTI Stage 2R heads
G1 cam
SSRA
BMR SFC/rear sway bar/LCA relocating brackets/RR air bag
ASP pulley
Custom tuning

I hope to have some 1/4 mile times and MPH very soon.
