under the curve means the whole rpm range, even though at peak you might of only gained 2hp at 3k it might be 13hp. same with tq, you gotta look at the whole curve instead of just peak.
heres a poignant example using a h/c dyno:
just looking at peak you'd say ryan 035 is the better package but as you can evidenly see, its not

Thats about right for a stock engine. You have to remember that different mods will net different amounts of power before and after additional modifications. A cam might add 25rwhp seperate and headers may only add 12 seperately like yours. But together they may add 50-60.

Slow ride,
Just to let you know we have a Dynojet chassis dyno and all the tuning software to perform this task. We also have (in my honest opinion) one of the best and most through tuners in the country, his name is Tad Bansuelo and if you search the Impala/LT1 forums you will find he is very well spoken of and routinely fixes problems at our shop caused by other "BIG NAME" tuners. Feel free to call us for an appointment 760-200-5155 we are only an hour or so from you.
Thank you for your time.

I would have to say that the AFR is a little ritch but from my experience it is not going to pick up any huge amounts of power from the AFR, 5-7 tops, I would say that you should look at your curve as others have noted, I would assume you gained quite a bit in other parts of the curve and BELIEVE ME, you don't need peak numbers to go fast, it is the power under the curve that counts on the track! Also more mods will make those headers earn their keep much better, as the demand on the exhaust system increases, so will the gains from improving it.

No have not had to smog yet (lol) Joe Jill said it will pass (barely) the specs on the cam are 222/224 .581 114 with 1.75 rockers works out to around .591 lift XER lobes car runs really strong I could only imagine what a set of long tubes and 90/90 intake would accomplish maybe 440-450 rwhp all with a baby cam. I think superior can really do a great job on heads I am just wondering if I am leaving some power on the table with only having a custom predator tune by Sean Ellis @ So Cal Diablo? Would love to hit 420 plus all with my JBA's! What do you think?

a/f is only part of tuning....
your car might also like a few degrees more timing. 12.1 is fat for the upper range, but its not way out there, i dont know preditors tune, but if it moved your timeing at all then it can have huge effects one way or the other... if you are picking up false knock your knock module could be pulling timing up top, just your motors way of protecting itsself.... was it on autotap while it was being dynoed? or just the wideband?
long story short, you need a real tune.... hand held tuners are toys for kids....
