Nice numbers Mikey! That's amazing for a pump gas street motor!

With C5R or LS7 heads, the bar should be raised even further in the near future.
a guy my dad works with keeps telling me how much better the SBC engine is than my LS1 .it's amazing how much streetable power the LS1 motors are cranking out.20 years ago i don't think anybody would have dreamed that you could make 500 plus rwhp NA out of a pump gas small block.good numbers mikey!

unless its a effecient motor, and the duty cycle isnt all that high... Im pretty sure Mike knows how to check that

Guys I think hes said that its around 240s/250s duration already. Sounds familiar to me Mikey I think thats one of the crazier torque curves Ive seen!

Why not a 408? What's the difference with the LS2 block and an Iron block?

I know that. I meant why is it a 402 and not a 408? Does each block have a different bore?

It is a 402 because the LS2 has a 4 inch bore and you can't bore the sleeve in the aluminum block 30 thousandths. You could re-sleeve the block but that gets expensive.
