Default Just for giggles

582 rwhp@8300 rpm , 543rwlbs/ft @ 6000 rpm Naturally aspirated ( I'll keep the nitrious numbers to myself) on a dynojet.

Engine is in a 1995 Z28

421 SBC Dart 18 degree motor with all the toys(not EFI).

Car ran 10.38 @ 138.8 on the motor in nitrious trim with a glide

I know its not an LS1 but hopefully it is interesting for comparison sake.

Vince

With my stock converter back in. The stock injectors back in. My T/A generated 296hp and 289lbs/ft. Not too bad for being stock and for being a 2000 model and no LS6 manifold.

2002 Z28 with 29,800 miles. Mods are lid and magnaflow muffler. I made 4 Dyno pulls Trying To Prove the worth of the hand held Tuners.

First pull with Hypertech Power Program made 303.04 Max Power with Max Torque 331.50. Run Conditions: 71.42 degrees, 30.14 in-Hg, Humidity 31%.

Second pull Using Stock Program made 311.04 Max Power with Max Torque 326.95, Temperature at 74.31 degrees

Third pull was with new Predator, version 2.11, made 311.30 Max Power with Max Torque 326.53, Temperature at 75.15 degrees

Fourth pull was made with the Predator, Lid opened up, made 312.59 Max Power with Max Torque 327.57, Temperature at 78.57 degrees.

In summary: the Hypertech run had a Torque Spike that resulted in the higher reading. The torque fell off starting at about 4200rpm. Also Air/Fuel ratio was 12.17 fairly flat across the run. Most Importantly, the Predator and Stock Programs were identical with an Air/Fuel ratio of 12.55. The Dyno Chart shows one line from 3500 rpm all the way to 6000rpm. I suspect the Predator could be leaned for another 10-12 horsepower.

Good stuff here! I think the only thing that could have made it better is some monitor on spark retard. I realize your a/f wasn't at all lean but any significant detonation would have caused the pcm to draw its parameters from the low octane table; no?

I Dyno'ed mine @ Precision Autosports in Dayton, Ohio last Friday, After 5 Pulls with the torque converter unlocked and a 16+ A/F Ratio, I managed 310HP, 325.5 Ft-Lb Torque. Not bad for the mods I guess, couldnt get it tuned there b/c they dont have Fbody programs yet. This was on a dynojet.

They should hook up with the Trans Am Nationals if they're in Dayton.

Default Just SLP Lid/Filter and SLP Loud-Mouth...

I was very Impressed with these gains, my first Dyno I put down 300.55 whp and 320 tq with just a lid and filter, I went back with the SLP Loud Mouth and put down 320.95 whp, and 339.43 tq, pretty awesome gains.

did pick up 70 wheel hp in the mid range with my heads and 35 tq. Not to bad for a air grinder and my inaccurate hand.
