Did I read it right? You gained nothing with the cutouts open?

That is surprising, especially with just a 3" catback.

I am betting you would gain more if you drove with the cut-outs open for 100 miles and went back. But still nice. Usually back to back shows about 10-15 gains depending on exhaust.

I had dynoed the car at another shop a week before (before tuning), and the cutouts yielded about 15rwhp when open. Perhaps the tuning cleaned things up.

I'm telling ya. The QTP Y-pipe design is a very high flowing setup thanks to the Flowmaster Merge collector. The SLP 2OTL is also known for its free flowing nature. I'm a believer now in a good Y+catback combo. Who needs duals when a conventional setup can flow so well?

Man...I think I have made up my mind. I was going to go with Pacesetters, but your numbers tell me the QTPs with there Y are worth every penny. Now just to come up with the $1500+ for the set.Hmmm...polish your shoes govna?

Have patience for the QTP Y install. It's like a puzzle and takes a little time.

Update....

The car's new owner did some more tuning on the current setup over at a (very reputable) shop in another state and was able to get 460/415 out of the combo, with some better midrange tq.

The cars new owner? Why would you sell it with out getting it to the track first?
