The 2001 (Only Cobra R was avalible in '00) Cobra makes about 280-290 stock on the high side. They make a little more than a stock LT1 M6.

Yea but the 03s and 04s, with a quick SC pulley change, is deep into the 400 RWHP range. I do not remember the stock RWHP dyno #s but Ford, after having had their hands slapped for exagerated advertised HP ratings, seems to be conservative with today's SAE Net FWHP #s.

Stock anywhere from 360-380....add a CAI and Cat-back and your looking at 420-430 with a little more TQ.

Our dynos out here must be conservative to say the least. Ive seen about 6 different 03/04's dyno and they were at the 350-360 range stock. Could also be that we run 91 in Cali as well. One went to 370 but he had a CAI.

To get 420-430 they would def need a pulley change with the rest of the minor bolt-on's, I cant see that happening with just a cat back and a intake.

However, after the bolt-on's those numbers change real quick. I hate those damn things.

My 03 Cobra with a kenne bell cold air intake, accufab throttle body, 2.93 lightning pulley, catback exaust and tuned did 436 rwhp and 457 torq. Dont now what stock was though. I do still have the dyno sheet also. It also ran best of a 11.87 at 120 mph with a 2.2 60 foot at Fontana with stock tires. I did run it stock and the best I could get was a 12.7 at 111 mph. Car is gone now. Motor couldn't hold it and went at 20,000 miles. I had one of the bad one's I guess.

i thought they were rated at the flywheel at 390 hp from the factory? they must have really under rated them then, then the GT500 that just came out that will be for '07 must be under rated too, 450hp but probly like 475...5.4L s/c

2000 Cobra R if I am not mistaken was High into the 300's, 2001 Cobra (g/f's brother got one) dyno'd 297rwhp/284rwtq i believe (Ford rated them 320hp/317tq) and 03-04 Cobra's ran between 360-380 on an average in both hp and tq.

supposed to be comin back in 07 w/ a SC 5.4L making 450hp or more so says a Mustang guru friend of mine. I know a guy w/ an 03 cobra w/ all those little mods and pulley swap and he put down 427rwhp and 442rwtq. Took me for a ride and i was throughly impressed( grinned the whole 12.0 seconds, he was on nitto DRs) esp. with that blower whine.

Sorry my friend, but you couldn't be more wrong here.

360rwhp - 390rwhp is the bone stock '03 Cobra range. Mine was in the 380's.
