Congrats Mikey!! You the man once again! Damn John! Now I know why Mark was saying I would need to be there once you get your car back. I had no idea you were going with a 402! Let me know for sure when her virgin run is gonna be. I want to see her in person. John's ET's in his sig are of his old setup 226 cam @ GTP heads. Quite impressive I must say!

Thanks Ryan. I didnt tell very many people that I was doing the 402. I had to do something about my head gasket problem on my 346 so I thought that now would be as good of time as any to just go ahead and do a 402. I will definitely let you know when I am going to the track.

Finally it stopped raining here yesterday evening and the roads dried out. I have been able to get on it a few times now, all I can say is wow. You can definitely feel the torque of the engine. I took a buddy a ride in it yesterday and he thought that it was quicker than his GSXR Motorcycle. The car is a beast. Thanks Mikey, I couldn't of asked for anything to of been better. Rapid Motorsports is a first class operation.

Awesome John! I'll have to ask you for a ride sometime. We could line em up too and I could inspect your taillights for free.

Just for referrence, this is the engine that John received:

01-Z, I don't do sponsorships anymore. Been burned on every single one of them.

The engine idles at about 1K rpms and you can definitely hear the lope of the cam. I think the CR is 11.6:1, but Mikey can say for sure. For a car having this much power it has excellent street manners. I would not be afraid to daily drive this car. I drove the car yesterday on about a 200 mile trip running 85 to 90 mph on the interstate with a 6-speed and 4.11 gears and got 25 mph, that is just amazing.

Idle is 950rpm. CR is 11.5:1.

These 402's are amazing. This is the motor I would be running if I had a street car.

John, glad you like the combo. With the right tuning, these things are a pleasure to drive.
