Default Possible for 350rwhp with bolt ons only?

Im sure this has been talked about before but the search didnt come up with anything.

What I have 2000z28 M6, FRA, SLP lid, LS6 intake, weld-on SFC's, LCA's, cut out and TR55's.

Is it possible to hit the 350rwhp mark with some LT's, high flow cats, true-duals with x-pipe, underdrive pulley, good dyno tune and a ported/polished TB. Perhaps even higher ratio rockers to push it over the edge.

what do you think?

With all the bolt-ons, LS6 intake, and a good tune you should hit it easy.

Peace,
Craig.

OR...plan B; Keep what I already have on the car and add cam and valve train, dyno tune, get 350-360rwhp cheaper than all bolt on mods. Which route to go?

I hit 360rwhp with a lid, closed up Borla, and LS6 with a good tune in my 01 (LS6 intake) T/A.

Its nice and "peppy" and quiet since I have stock manifolds, stock y-pipe, and stock cats.

Peace,
Craig.

Cragor...You meant LS6 cam right? that sounds like a good cheaper route to take for now. thats about the output I want with stock rear end and no drag radials.

I had 352 rwhp in my 00 with a lid, long tubes, ORY, Borla wide open, no tune and no LS6 intake, stock pulley etc. This is an M6 though.

Yes sir, sorry about that. Its an 02 LS6 cam. Its very nice and smooth. I like getting out of my 427 and just cruise around in the T/A sometimes.

It all depends on where u dyno, not all dynos are the same. don't be disappointed if u dont make ur goal cause alot of people dont take into consideration that u wont get the same reading on one dyno as u would on another.

Very very true, all dynos will read different as well as the same dyno on different days.

Peace,
Craig.

Question about your LS6 cam, I'm wanting to do a mild cam on mine, just wondering what kind of gain you got from that LS6 cam, and what you paid for it. Also did you need to change anything else out, springs etc.... Might be a good option for me, cuz I don't really want it to be obvious I installed another cam, car's under an extended warranty. I've gotta be discreet about it.

I did not have a before dyno of my T/A, sorry. You will get around 20-25rwhp from it with a good tune.

I used Comp 918's that were on my SS stock heads, and I bought hardened pushrods just in case.

I traded my buddy my old T1 cam for his ZO6 cam, plus he installed it for me since the value of my T1 cam was worth more. ZO6 cams are dime-a-dozen, so prices will vary. And as a safe guard I bought a double roller timing chain, ported my oil pump, bought some NGK TR5's, Thundervolt wires, and a pulley while we were down there.
You can not tell there is any kind of cam in my car, the ZO6 cam is smooth. It's my valve train thats just a tiny little bit louder then stock. You could not notice it unless I pointed it out.

Peace,
Craig.

Amen! Too bad so many people don't consider the dyno their using.

<-- 341whp/347wtq with a lid and Maganflow catback alone, on THAT dyno, I'll definatly pull over 350whp with my new set of LT's and ORY.

Talk to MachoCamacho about "awesome h.p. with just bolt-ons". All he has in his 2000 Z28 M6, are a lid, LS6 intake, Kooks LT's, and TSP true duals, and a great dyno tune, and he made 357 rwhp and 368 rwtq.

I'm gonna be going that same route and at the same tuner but with a couple more "minor mods" (by the time of the tune, I'll have lid/filter, ported TB, LS6 intake, Pacesetter LT's, ORY, LM catback, and a crank pulley), and if I'm not making the same or near the same numbers, I'm gonna break down. It was said that my true numbers should be above his when all is said and done. If it's true, I'll be able to hold out atleast a full year without any more power mods.
