Look at this Dyno, power drops at 5,200RPM - WHY?

Replaced the motor mounts and tranny mount. Made a noticable difference in the vibration. The old mounts were hard as a rock and cracked. AZ desert heat is tough on rubber.
We ran the tank down to where it sputtered (almost empty) then
Poured in 2+ gallons of 104 Octane Race Gas.
Aftern idlinig for some time we drove around a bit hooked up to the laptop. Some dumps at a dead stop (boy what a dog now) and some WOT from a float through 3 gears up to 6k RPM.
The knock is still there
at the exact same levels.
NO CHANGE!

Re-Dyno'd and.... the problem remains the same. Knock and retard!

im willing to bet some sort of valve train noise is throwing off the knock sensors, do u have a way to desensitize them? i dont know the stock 98 settings but if they are any different from the others i would put in a later years data. are the 98's knock sensors located differently as well?

Such a long thread here's the recap.
On startup when hot and taking off from a stop occasionally I would get a quick ping. Normal here in AZ from the heat. No other noise.
2 months ago I had an OEM rocker lose its bearings. Heard so much spin on the Crane 1.8 rocker kit, Crane springs, Crane pushrods, etc. I went with that. After the install Dyno (computer) showed knock retard. The shop tuned it down to 19 degrees. It still showed on the computer screen. At no time can you ever hear any pinging or typical knocking sounds from detonation. Since then to fix the knock I have had the following done:
Replaced intake to SLP LS6
Readjusted the lifters to Crane specs again
Replaced to the newer upgraded knock sensors
Ran two tanks of Lucas Top End fuel cleaner
Changed oil and filter (RedLince synthetic)
Readjusted the lifters again with Joe Vinci on phone
Ran 1 tank of RedLine fuel cleaner
New motor mounts and tranny mount
104 Octane Gas
Still is picking up a knock and is retarding the timing even more.
Next step is to repalce back to OEM (Harlands) lifters on the 27th and check for knock.

with your mph on a stock cam i must assume you are spraying right?
well then the duel springs might be ok for you, but they are too much for his N/A stock cam ...

Just got mine done today, It does the same thing just like what mrr23 said just the stock cam petering out. I have stock every thing except a custom air intake,MAF ends
MTI throttlebody and a custom magnaflow exhaust setup, this is what I put down with some tunning started off taking out the superchips tune I had in and returning back to stock GM tune I put down 314.9HP/326.7TQ to the fourth pull getting out 337.7HP/346.8TQ In the end that is was Jeffs conclusion was as well.

I think it might be the left cat converter, the inside broken. I noticed some rattling when the car was in my garage and revving it up. Outdoors it is not noticeable. This might be the reason it is tripping the knock sensors.
