Default stock 02 vs mod 2000

hey guys i got my car dynoed to day along with a friend. my friends completely stock 02 put down 287 rear wheel and i put down 315 reaer wheel......i have slp LT's loudmouth catback and lid but, a paper air filter (i jsut put the paper one in because im selling my car) i didnt know i was going to dyno my car it was kinda spur of the moment ............but back to the point LT's and a lid gave me 27 more rear wheel than him and he has the ls6 intake..........

was it on a mustang dyno or a dynojet?

319 rwhp for an LS1 with intake/exhaust/Lts is pretty bad, shouldnt it be around 355ish? :shrug:

#'s sound low for those mods. Was it a mustang dyno?

My car only dyno'd 348 on a Dynojet 248c. My best pull before tuning was 323.5, then 348 after tuning. I think his #'s are about right. Unless you're dyno racing... it really doesn't matter - it matters more what kind of #'s it puts down on the dragstrip "dyno."

Before tuning I put down 315rwhp / 326.7rwtq on a dynojet(jeff greech @ CAM). That was through a ls1 stock intake manifold and stock Ex. manifolds but no cats, mods being only my custom dual cone air intake, MTI racing tb, custom magnaflow catback and y-pipe, and 28.8 pound injectors, Oh and TR MAF ends. After tuning 337.7rwhp / 346.8rwtq. I think your #'s are just a little low. His are terrible.

319 with longtubes still sounds a little low to me. I know it's not just about dyno #'s, but the more hp you make, the faster you will run.

::shrug:: I guess some cars are dyno queens and others run the #.

Silent but violent on this board only dyno'd 323, but managed an 11.3 pass. His MPH was pretty decent too.

I guess what I'm trying to say is - don't get caught up in dyno #'s. Use it for a tuning tool. There are just too many variables involved. I've put a beating on cars that dyno higher, etc, etc. I guess to save face they can tell eveyone they dyno'd higher than me.

dynos vary,and he still has the ls1 intake.numbers don't sound that bad to me.A4s aren't dyno queens anyway.

Maybe for an M6. I'd say its within the acceptable margin for an a4.

He must have had some major weight reduction.
