I believe it was a bad spark signal..

valve float? maybe.... maybe tires spinning or spark issue could cause that...

That the comparison was also with a shot of nos. A comparison with a 346 with and a 396 with nos is more applicable. BEsides, the more cubes will give you more low end, a 396/365 isnt a well balancd combo, IMO, and wont do well down the line....

I cant scan my dyno graph but my 395 pulled all the way to 7k. I have a much smaller cam a 240/244 and mine will pull till I shift. I am going to port my Fast intake and retune it in hopes of 500 rwhp and good drivability. I went to our new 1/8 miles track Monday and ran the **** out of it -no problems.
