Thanks, and Trevor offered to send me another cam...I just want to exhaust all other options before I resort to that because I have to pay the installation fees again to have the new one put in.

bro i ran 14.74 on juice and the guy was like.. GET IT OFF MY DYNO NOW! lol.

Backyard mechanics will blow your motor everytime.

14's you want AWAY FROM.

12.5-13 is perfect.

I run 12.9 all across the board

14.7 lol

oh yeah lol.

Get yourself a nice mcleod twin disk or a cartek clutch.
My cartek grabs like a ****..doesnt chatter AT ALL and can handle juice/boost/stroked.

No more burnt clutch smells after a big launch!

i would say hit the track before you swap out the cam, just to see what it runs. i would be happy with a 360 rwhp 11sec car.

Does anyone want to see the dyno graph besides me?

I dont think you are out of line...~300rwhp stock...cam and cheap headers for 360...sounds reasonable. All dynos are different.

i havnt read all the posts, but have u rechecked the preload on the rocker arms? i know if that is off it can rob horsepower (but not as much as u r losing i think) just a suggestion. good luck man

I have heard of the big dyno numbers with cam and headers no heads. But two guys local are only making 413 and 420rwhp not sure their torque with heads, cams, longtubes and one has very large cam. They have ls6 and one has lsx intake. One has all bolt ons..pulley,ported tb.The 420rwhp guy has the lsx and doens't have pulley or ported tb.
I would think you are really only missing like 15 rwhp maybe. I didnt' see underdrive pulley or ported tb in your sig.

Also what clutch are you on and what condition is it. A slipping weak clutch can easily take away some hp and torque if you can't get it to the rollers.
Also would check basic stuff..plugs and wires..fuel filter..

Also think 4.10 gears take away like 10 to 20 hp also both buddies cars are stock 3.42 geared m6s.Both have had pro tuning.

This is true, i took my car to get dyno'd but my clutch was slipping and i made waaaaaay less power. Like my setup right now only made 250rwhp/303tq with a severely slipping clutch. depends on how bad its slipping for it to hurt ur #'s

Could the clutch have been slipping on the dyno?

very possible. that cam should make alot of power, and the stock clutch can barely hold anything more than stock. if i were u id replace the clutch and do proper break in, then go take it to the dyno. also 1 time my car was on the dyno and the clutch was real hot and wasnt grabbing. let it cool down and try again, that can help your clutch grab. also a dyno graph would be nice to see, if it all possible you should get that online. but definitly get a clutch. u cant make power if u cant get it to the ground

Vandal is correct about the rockers. But it sounds more like you have a clutch issue.

You mention the power numbers but what does the curve look like? I understand you have no way to host it but, could you give is hp/tq ratings every 250rpm so we can plot it?

dynojet' are mighty hard to tell if they are driving thru the clutch...just a thought

I will post the dyno this weekend. And for all you guys doing the math (300 hp plus headers cam=360 hp) You're forgetting one thing, My torque is 335. There is no mathematical way to explain that. I will get a clutch soon and re test it, but I never noticed the clutch slip once before the dyno. O Well thanks for the advice..Ill keep you posted.

Also, if the clutch was getting real hot I would assume the dyno curve would fall flat on its face higher in the rpm range but it just keeps climbing.

and here is what my car did when it wasnt slipping:

obviously u would be able to tell if something is going wrong (depending on how severely ur clutch is slipping) hope this helps
