Okay, 370 measly rwhp on an LS1, not an LS6. I don't think there are or will be any 370 rwhp bolt on only LS1's. As you said, even 360 is not the norm. I wonder if there are any in the 360's?

I think this talk pretty much settles whether or not you can make 400 rwhp with only bolt ons.

My 02 SS did 331RW with lid only.

I think with 78mm LSX intake, underdrive pulley, 1 3/4 kooks headers y-pipe and high flow cats, EWP and tune I could have possibly seen close to 370.

The thing people have to realise too is that you cant just figure that all mods will be cumulative, like add 10 for this and 20 for that and so on. There is a point of diminishing returns although EWP and pulley should always be good for about the same amount since they are eliminating parasitic loss.

Likely the reason we dont find out is that like me most people when they do all that also do heads and cam and just go right to the 90mm intake and 1 7/8 headers

Not to flame you, but what makes you think you would have dynoed 370rwhp with those mods. There have been many people dyno with similar mods and not dyno anywhere near 370rwhp.

He added like a ricer to get to that (no offense), and overestimated the LSX intake gain, I'll bet.

Like I said I saw anotherwise stock 02 Z06 dyno 391 with the 78mm LSX and headers and whatever air intake thing they put on vettes. Thats a nice 30+ RWHP gain. I would think that and EWP and UD pulley would have put that car over 400

What do I know I've watched dozens of cars dyno

I'm not doubting a Zo6, just never heard of anyone dynoing 370 with a bolt on LS1.

Out of those dozens, how many have been bolt on LS1's putting down 370rwhp?

None, I agree. But like I said earlier I think that is because most guys that go that far usually do cam and heads also.

The only car I've ever personally seen dyno with just 78mm LSX and headers and other minor bolt ons was the 02 Z06 that did 391.

I have seen Fbodies gain over 20RW with just Lid and headers so it stands to reason that a 78mm LSx might give a similar 30HP total gain like the Z06 got but I'm just guessing.

The problem is that the 78mm fast intake isn't much better than the LS6 that comes stock on the 01-02's. The fast 90/90 shows good gains on a heads/cam car, but is going to be too much for the stock LS1 cam/heads. The lsx intakes are going to work better with the LS6 heads on a Zo6. I just don't see a way to do 370rwhp with stock heads, cam, compression and no dyno tricks. Never say never though.

With a cam, full bolt on's and no tune, I managed to crank out 360 RWHP and 350 RWTQ on a 226int/234exh .558int/.575exh 112 LSA, on a Superflow dyno corrected to dynojet numbers. A tune would help, but seeing anything over 375 ins't likely.

Another thing, what dyno correction factors are we talking about? That could very well be the reason for false 370 RWHP claims.

moser is taking some power from you.

How does your car ride at low RPMs. Did you lose any low end power with your cam?
