Default Dyno and 1/4 comparison

2000 SS m6 dynoed at 440/430 with 7# with the p1sc and i used my auto math book to get a rough estimate on 1/4 mile times...according to the equation i should be hitting near 12.0-12.5 but i was wondering what other people have been running cause after i started getting better at launching i pulled out a 13.243@112.23. ive ran the car at the track 8 times so i figure i still have some practicing to do...theres a guy at the track (new england dragway) with a z28 with cold air and slp exhaust running practically the same....i would like to break 12's next time i go, any help would be appreciated....

holy crap if your really have 440/430 you should be runnin alot faster than that....my guess is oyu have crazy traction problems...get some sticky tires and you will see that et drop a bunch

What was your 60 foot? Were you shifting at or near 6000rpm?
With that kind of power you should be running low 12's/high 11's depending on your 60'.

FYI with 340/358 I ran 12.72 @ 111.7 2.05 60'

Ahhh .... that much should be mid to low 11s hooking up... Spend your time and effort on 60ft time, driver factor, and more than anything else some sticky tires. I'm surprised your mph was'nt much higher??!!!!

yea u need traction BAD. lol decent trap though, not the greatest but decent. the trap speed is a better indicator of power as u could gear it right and run 10's..

There are plenty of guys on here withno sfc or any suspension(stock) changes that are in the 11's . Believe me tires and some good driving(launching) will get you some very low 12's or 11's. I know 2 guys personally with hp in the 370 range with 3.07 gears but 1.6x 60 ft times getting 11.70's.Mines with 343hp on a 1.80 60ft times was 12.43. This might cause a flame butwith street tires I could'nt get into the 12s until I changed converter and got some drag radials.

Something is wrong. That trap is horribly low for having that much power. You should be trapping around 117 with those shitty 60's and that bad e/t. There is no reason why you shouldn't be going 120+ once you get more power to the ground though - but still, 108-112 is horrible for that amount of power.

where did you get dynoed at? I woud have to agree those traps are slow. And mph is a measure of horsepower, not et.

ASR is going to make your e/t suffer, so just keep it off. Your 60's aren't even that bad though. With 108-112 traps, it seems as though you're only making around 330 rwhp. Something is messed up, or maybe you shift way too slow or something.

yeah....defenitly something wrong here...im trapin 114-115 on just the motor...cam only..with 393rwhp....you should be trappin somewhere between 117-120 with that much power...traction is a problem, i know the feeling, but it still doesnt make up for trap speeds....if anything, when you spin, your traps will be higher than if you get a great launch. id look into your tune.

I have no suspension mods at all and I ran a 12.2 @ 118 on street tires. If I had good tires I would be in the 11's. Its all in the 60Ft. If I had some stickys and could pull a 1.7 i would be like around 11.5.
