Default bolt on 2000 WS6 make 370rwhp?

I say BS.......370rwhp is up with cam only cars.......but anyone else agree?

the story:

I ran across this guy with a 2000 WS6 (M6) with bolt ons as follows:

MAC (I take it to be mids)
an offroad y-pipe
a catback
a lid
HPP3 crap tune

now the guy "says" he dynoed it at 370rwhp but as I said, I wanted to raise the BS flag (wasn't about to tell him through because I have to buy steel here like 3 times a week...)....I say there is no F*ing way a 2000 with that mod list can make any more than 340rwhp.....

you can tell its bullshit just by the HPP3 mod. however 370rwhp is possible and been done, its at the upper eschelons though, and thats full bolt ons.

thhis guy doesnt even have an ls6 intake, ported TB, pulley, ect. i wouldnt hesitate to call bullshit.

My buddy Nick made 349.6 on his 02 SS M6 with LTs, True Duals, pulley,...basically everything but tuning. With what that guy has, I have to throw my hat in the BS camp as well.

I have a pulley, LT, ORY, Magnaflow, cut-out, proted tb, and I made 355 with a bad 02, exhaust leak, and stock stune. That was through a 12 bolt and 4.11's. Now that the car has been driven around for awhile with the new stuff, I bet I can put down 360. Oh, and btw, my numbers are SAE. Oh, I almost forgot, I have valve float and my HP falls off about 15 HP on that pull from 5500-6200 rpms.

The guy could be telling the truth, but his version of the truth could be ACTUAL numbers or STD numbers, but I agree, there's no chance of them being SAE numbers.

i totally agree.a lot of the numbers floating around here are inflated,IMO.the best dyno is what your car traps at the end of the track, period.

MPH is iffy too because race weights and weather (density altitude) vary so much from track to track and car to car. A 3000lb car in -1000 density altitude that goes 122mph will look like it's making more power than a 3600 lb car (fairly stock weight with 200 lb driver) that runs 117mph in 2500 density altitude, but the fact of the matter is the heavier car makes more power.

Bottom line, dynos are more consistent than mph at the track for comparisons.

With longtubes, ory, ls6 intake and lid (no tb, pulley) i made 352 rwhp. This was untuned through a 12bolt...and i think the 12.2 @ 115 on 1.98 60' time backs that up.

I posted my "full bolt-on" graph here a while back maybe it's still around...

Just for y'alls reference it pulled SAE 362/368 on a dynojet through powercats. No cats would be in the ballpark of 370 so it is possible. No tricks, no BS, for some reason the car's always dynoed strong Track times?
