Default Production C6 Z06 Baseline dyno results @ LG Motorsports!

443/411 with about 50 miles on the clock

Torque management is terrible to say the least!

Here is the graph, Enjoy!

We cannot get into the PCM as of yet, so we really will not know until then.

That's right at 505/475 isn't it? I'm sure a cam will really wake up that thing.

I can't wait to see what kind of gains you get with a set of 1 7/8 headers and a monster cam...

I want to see tune only gains, otherwise completely stock.

I have a feeling it will gain 15/20 on a tune...
Just thinking outloud..

seems low to me, given its a 427! i figured it would put down very close to 500 but its a good bit off.

A 427 bottom end is still 427 cubic inches, its the other details that are keeping the power where it is. GM had to build a 427 that anyone could get into and drive with no issues what so ever.

Not to mention, this car is light, and if they put any more power to the wheels, it becomes a handful to the unskilled driver.

Here are 2 runs back to back, with the 443 being the best.

505fwhp -15% driveline loss = 429rwhp

I dont see what your trying to get at. Its actually higher that it should be at the wheels. The LS1/Ls6 Bone stock "legitimately" measured about the same difference.

Whats up Louis??

Looks like Lou Sr. finally got that "Z" in his hands....tell him congrats and he still owes me dinner at Batista's!

I think the results are in line....I would have expected a little more TQ out of that displacement, but the HP is certainly right where I thought it would be. Totally legitimizes the 505 SAE crank #'s and to be expected with the quality of the hardware on that vehicle. This engine is just frothing at the mouth for a cam and header install....without even going crazy its an easy 70-100 addition to both figures (TQ and HP).

Cool stuff.....I want to hear about how the car drives and handles as well....its a no brainer to be able to add tons of power to that existing package.

Regards,
Tony M.

Those are the numbers I was expecting, but I was hoping for slightly more. But, the good news is that the majority of Z06 buyers won't be modifying their cars, and it won't take much for me to make my regular C6 wipe them up and leave a confused look on their faces

I expected the TQ to be more considering it was an under cammed emission friendly motor. Hopefully it shines after TQ management is removed.

That is what I expected. Being a tuning addict, I can't wait to see someone tune a stock 'z'. Then LT's and a monster cam.

Very nice numbers, the car is beautiful. Someday I will have one.

Did you put a scan tool on it? What was the timing?

Did you check the A/F?
