Default Mustang dyno ? dyno sheet inside

what is the standard conversion from Mustang to DynoJet numbers ? I dynoed on a DynoJet in April and got 376 rwhp, I dyno'd today on a Mustang and got 362 rwhp. I know I didnt lose 14 rwhp and my trap speed at the track is between 111.9 - 112.7. The guy at the dyno said there would be a little difference but not much, I told him my dyno numbers didnt jive with my trap speed at the track or my butt, cause I know my car runs way better now than it did in April. thanx

the fueling is way off if you're wondering about the dip or the torque...AFR started at 13.8 and topped out at 14.2...I'll fix it when I get my heads on

You may get all kinds of estimated # for a conversion but there is NO such thng. Best thing is to stick to the same dyno or get a baseline test before any changes are made.

Don't sweat it, it is just a number!

like I said before track times say 389-394 rwhp....there's absolutley no way my car lost 14 rwhp since April...there has to be some kind of calculation for the offset, I know it's just a number, but the Dynojet is almost an hour away, while the Mustang is 5 minutes away, but the owner of the Mustang is kind of a douche bag...I wanted to get good before and after numbers from the head swap, but the current numbers have me a little down, if they're correct

you know you put down on the mustang dyno so use that one as ur baseline for before and after heads, also from what i hear mustang dynos are more accurate, what times are you running at the track and what mods do you have

In my personal experience, the Dynojet was about 13% higher than the Mustang Dyno. I dynoed on the Mustang dyno and then a week or so later on the Dynojet and they were just about 13% different. But, I think the difference is different for each car. I know that the Mustang dyno is more accurate because it accounts for load, etc. I just got Dynojet numbers because it's easier to spit them off to some people without having to explain why the numbers are so "low".

i think the Mustang Dyno is more dependant with the operator than a Dyno Jet would be, I noticed the load setting was set at 4% grade.....Mustang is better for tuning than a Dyno Jet, because of the loading factor

Actually dude, your trap times are inline with what you put down. I trapped 112 with 352/359 and thats bolt-ons only. If your car isnt tuned properly then you are gonna be missing quite a few ponies.

A long while back I dynoed 370 on a dynojet and 348 on a mustang dyno.
I would trap anywhere from 112 - 114 depending on weather and traction.

dont worry about the difference, **** even two dynojets wont give the same hp output for the same car. No big deal, timeslips are more important anyway.
