Default 500 Rwhp?

Do you guys think I could pull 500 at the wheels of a 98' Z w/M6 with a stock bottom end and :
-Fast 90/90
-Kooks L/t w/ory and cat back
-ET heads
-Huge cam
-Tune
-Injectors
-fuel pump

If not please chime in on what it takes. Thanks

It's possible. It requires more of a properly matched combo than just a huge cam. I'd say to get your heads flowed, then have a cam ground to perform with them... that'd be your best shot.

like blake said, it can be done
but it will take some time with your porter and cam grinder to determine whats going to work best

through dual cutouts on that ORY and that will help.

So you think I could buy out of the box heads and they would have a custom ground cam that they suggest?

I'd say around 450 hp with that setup.

I dont know of any out of the box heads that will make 500rwhp on a 346. You'd need to get a top quality set of heads and get them further worked in order to do it. There aren't many 500rwhp n/a hyd. roller setups around. I know Jason99t/a made 505 with some heads ported by Steven Stumpf and a Cam Motion 246/250.

If you want to try to hit that 500 rwhp mark na with heads/cam/90/90/LT's your gonna need a big cam (maybe a trex or magic stick) and probably afr 205's with some work done on them to raise compression. Its been done but not a whole lot so id contact one of the sponsors, such as TTPerformance, who has done this and get all the info you can out of them. Good luck though and let us know how you make out!

Based on what? With 11.5:1 compression, a dead on tune, and a well thought out cam(maybe just throw in a G5X4) I bet he could hit 500. Through a 10bolt.....

He said ET heads. Which from initial feedback, could very well support that kinda power. Especially in the 225+ cc heads. The magic stick hasnt really put down any special numbers that I have seen, aside from TSP shop cars The Trex hasnt put down any numbers with heads that really make record, cam only yes, havent seen them with heads though.

Honestly i do not see it happening, unless you are talking full roller, huge lift (700) and rediculous duration, with some unbelievable heads. I do not think you will acomplish this. Good luck though, and if you do make the numbers you are looking for please post them.

If he got all the supporting mods, I bet its damn close. If course it all depends on the short block too. The thing better not have some washed cylinders and low compression.

It's possible but you will benefit more from power under the curve than just peak.
