Thumbs down lost power

I have got a 2001 t/a lid, mid lengths,and all the free mods installed a 598/601 cam on 112 lsa car put down 359 hp and 362 tq what makes the tq higher than the hp? and how do iget the hp up? and are these decent #

Are you a a4 or m6, was the dyno a mustang dyno or dyno jet , If a mustang dyno you are rate were you should be, as for the tq higher than the hp i really don't know.

car is a m 6 with 62000 miles running mid lengths with a flowmaster setup
dynoed on a dynojet
any help exhaust ,wrong cam,etc

yes car was tuned only picked up 12 hp from tuning
a/f at 13.58 at 357.91 hp

mac mid length, offroad 2 1/2 y pipe, lid, k&n filter, coolant bypass ,smooth bellows, flowmaster 3"cat back,
tsp camshaft 235/240,.603'/.600'.112lsa ,tune 1 guy said the flowmaster is killing me?

flowmaster doesnt help but thats a big *** cam and those numbers seem low

Did you replace the valvesprings? It sounds like power if falling off before peak if the HP numbers are lower than TQ, but the TQ numbers seems pretty close to what they should be. Thus, you might have a lot of valvetrain instability above 5500rpm.

Another thing, are you revving the engine to 6600 at least on the dyno?

I hope he did with that much lift, if not its going to get ugly real quick.

The "hoe master" might be killing you a bit, but I wouldnt think it would be a huge difference. What was the AFR? How much timing is in the car? I would think with a ported TB, undrive pulley, cutout you would prolly gain a little more then 10 extra ponies.

Mid-length headers, 2.5" Y-pipe, and Flowmaster are not the ideal exhaust setup for producing good numbers, either.

LS6 intake would probably help quite a bit too, i didnt see that on the list.

Definatly a problem somewhere ... surely they replaced the springs , probly wouldnt have even made it through the dyno runs LOL , .. Who did the tuning ?

I honestly don't believe its just the tuning. Look at the mods. mid-lengths, flowmaster, and a y-pipe with no cut-out.... Less than optimal. Other mods such as pulley and ported TB arent always needed. I put down 409/370 with just a lid, long tubes, and true duals(x3 cam of course) So obviously its not breathing too well

I agree its not all in the tuning , the torque shows there is some restriction , i only asked because his location was D/FW ( same as mine ) and the 13.5 a/f seemed a little lean to me for the dyno , they lean out more on the street , myself and other tuners i know in the area set them up a little richer on the dyno for this reason ..
Just wondering where he went ..

Kinda thinking that but i didnt want to ask outright .... Your pushing the limits on those 918s .. where they pulling it up in the RPMs? does the graph start to taper down or is it pretty smooth all the way up ? Post up a graph , or come by the shop 1 day id like to take a look at it for ya ... Im in Benbrook if thats close to you swing by , or give me a call ...
