Default Dyno Results with Cam Only 2004 GTO..and video

Video As Well: http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52997 (8MB)

Just ran on a DynoJet.

332.64rwhp and 326.79rwtq SAE corrected.

List of my mods:

Speed Inc CAI
Mark Shaner S3 Port/Polish Throttle Body
Patriot Cam, 232/230 .580/.580 110LSA, Patriot Gold Dual Spring Kit
Exhaust is stock with the exception of deleted resonators and Magnaflow mufflers. (No headers)

Thats it for mods. Im pretty happy with the results, considering it still needs some more tuning as you can see by the a/f ratio.

Good news is I am ordering my longtubes this week. So I will get it on the dyno again once they are installed and its been tuned. So couple weeks or less.

Never got to run the goat stock. Sorry I dont have stock numbers.

those #'s seem very low for a cam in a goat. your a/f definatly needs some adjustment. get some headers, you need them badley

I didnt expect them to be all that great considering it could use some more tuning and its being restricted really bad on the exhaust right now.

headers and a free flowing muffler should wake it up quite a bit.reverse split cams need a free breathing exhaust to work well

Why are you not running headers? Do you plan on adding them later? That car would make more power with bolt-ons for sure.

i had the same issue, made about the same with stock exhaust and a GT2-3 cam....soon as i did exhaust i picked up 20-25 hp with a nitrous tune.get the tune better and get the exhaust on there and i bet u could pickup 30hp if not more.thats a bigger cam than i have so u should make more.good luck

yea, the numbers may seem low but its quite a bit faster after I swapped the new cam in. Maybe my car made less then most other GTO's stock? Im not sure, all I know is it feels damn good on the street and VERY Significant SOTP difference.

Im pretty excited about getting headers. Hopefully they get here this week so I can install them right away.

As for the mufflers, they are free-flowing. Magnaflows, straight through.

Seems about right for your mods. Most stock GTO's were in the 290~300 RWHP range stock. LT's will pick up another 20~30. Sounds really mean at idle I'd love to hear it in person but I doubt that'll happen.

Come visit us RMGTO guys at Bandimere this April for opening weekend. The only bummer is you might be running high 14s/low 15s depending on the DA.
