Pretty much...

Don't get me wrong, they are very impressive numbers, but a cam with that much lift, it's gotta be hard on the valve springs.

Right now, I'm going back and forth between a turbo kit or a 408-427ci set up. With the LS1 market screaming now, I'm going to wait until this time next year to finally decide what direction I want to go.

If the LS7 block isn't much more than the LS2 block, then 427 here I come! If the price is too high then a 408 will be the next choice. My HP & TQ goals are 525 RWHp & 500RWTQ with a N/A setup while running cats, but I don't expect to pass emissions at all, just want to cut down on the exhaust smell. I might add a 100-150 shot of N20 also. (Direct Port)

If I go N/A, how do I contact Ed Curtis to help me select a cam, does he have a web site?

Bill

Best way to contact a non-sponsor is to send him a PM.

Great numbers. That would be an awesome setup in a auto with a 5000 stall.

he is a sponsor or was the last time I looked

nice numbers seems like it actually peaks too high though, if you only wanted to spin it to 6900, I would think peaking a few hundred RPM less would be more optimal to take full advantage of the power under the curve.

The cam was originally ground for a higher powerband with a fully forged bottom end that can spin higher. The combo never made it on that engine and was then sold to a friend with a stock bottom end, thusly only being spun to 6900 max.

Yep! That cam was originally meant for my forged 347ci motor and was going to be shifted at 7400rpms.

I don't see FTI or Ed Curtis on the sponsor list. What company is it that's the board sponsor?
