Default 228/228 cam dyno

Just got my car dynoed...

first run: 383rwhp 354rwtq

sec run: 390rwhp!! 367rwtq

So I like these numbers, right now my mods are boltons + cam
The cam isn't very big either..TSP 228/228 114lsa...forgot the lift. The nitrous numbers next month should be nice.

Yes m6..I dunno..where should the torque be exactly? it was runnin a lil rich :\...No aftermarket pulley and no cats...has a loudmouth catback...Thinkin of going to true duals to maybe get to 400..and possibly get a ported throttle body as well.

I would hope for 375-380 lb ft. Im not really sure though. Just seems like 390/367 is a large spread for a somewhat mild cam.

The numbers are close to mine as well. Mine is on 112lsa I have a pulley too. The cam is great on the street, a great powerband. Last year full weight stock clutch and tires it ran 12.20's @118.9 with a 1.98 60'. Now I need a clutch and some heads.

A good ported TB(done by someone who knows WTF they are doing) will add 6-9 at the wheels on a stock/bolt-on car and up to 12 on a cammed car. That's not even with a pulley.

400 with a good ported TB(Bo White, Crazy Man, Shaner, etc.) and a pulley should be easy as pie.

I would put money on it that a pulley and ported TB yield 10 to the wheels.

Yeah, it's called a LID, and they go for $80-$90, not $150.

That's a Bo White TB with a 21 minute difference in time between the dynos. Quote from his website:

1998 PONTIAC FORMULA FIREBIRD M6- all stock down to the paper air filter and muffler before and after dyno pulls with the only change being one of my ported TBs.

CSI couldn't ask for better evidence than that. Any more requests I can help you out or are you refuting facts at this point?

I was wrong about the pulley actualy, it should give the tq and hp your missing. I still say 2-4 on the tb. SO I'm gonna guess a 12 rwhp and 9 rwft tq gain from a pulley and ported tb.
I meant 10 total from the UD pulley and ported TB man. Reread my post.

Now that the arguments are over lets get back to the topic at hand:

Those are some damn good numbers. Can't wait to see the nitrous ones. How big of a shot are you running?

Here I'll take care of it. Whinos the expert he's got pacesetters and taylors with a ported oil pump, you should listen to him, he knows it all. I'll zap my previous posts. a ported tb and pulley should get him there. All results are different though. Whino someday you might have enough money to finish your car all the way but I doubt it. So I guess you really do need the internet glory. take it from here. I'm unsubscribing

Fair enough, I'll do the same. If you would like to continue in PMs, be my guest. I'm all for a good conversation/debate. But don't ASSume things you do not know.

Nice numbers, My A-4 (3200 vig & kooks w/cats) with a 224/228 *114 put down 383hp & 363Tq. I later added a pulley and BGRA but never dynoed.

How is the idle? I'm looking at a cam in that range on a 112. I don't want a crazy choppy idle. I will have stock manifolds for a while and will always have a flowmaster catback, which right now is very quiet. I know 112 will have more chop, but I want more power down low and don't want to shift past 6500 for now. Can you post the graph?
