No your right 6600 isn't bad at all. For some reason I was thinking higher than that. I run 4.11s but will be running a considerably heavier car. I like that set up. I will have to check into some of these parts.

Made one pass today before I blew my output shaft(I hope...)

old times were 11.72@ 121 1.75 60ft

new time 11.54@123 1.80 60ft

The case looks like its intact no fluid leaking, jacked it up and when I spin either rear tire the other doesnt move no noise in the rear when either is turned and when the car is in gear nothing....... I might rip it out tonight but not real motivated.......~150 track passes so I knew it would happen soon....Damn I sould have opted for the hardened output shafts the first time!

did you have to change pushrods since you milled the heads? Also who did the milling?

Very nice

Do the 90/90 setup and you'll gain some more. Also by my testing the AFR setup sometimes like's A/F at 13.5-1 to 14-1 to get the most out of it.

I still have a lot of tuning to do and am waiting to see the results of my friends 90/90 combo but hope to have one in the next few months. I am sure I can get a 11.1 or 11.2 out the way it sits now

Nice numbers... and good comparison. For what it is worth I lost 10 HP going to a 90/90 setup (from a 78mm and ported stock tb). I have checked just about everything on the motor to make sure it wasn't something else and have not found anything... might be something else but we have not found it yet. I am going to try a ls6 intake next just chits....

Nice numbers!!!

Exactly how did you check your pushrod length? Just wondering how "you" did it.

Used both math and a pushrod length checker

This seems like an outstanding combination for a street driven vehicle. That car has GOT to be fun to drive around.

Did you have to use a solid roller lifter to get your numbers? What length pushrod are you running with that set up?

-installed the TSP ported ls6 oil pump
-LS2 timing chain
-milled my AFR 205 heads .030
-04 LS6 MAF
-installed Cometic .040 gaskets
-replaced the stock 26lbs injectors with some 28.8's

I used the same Dyno (Carolina Auto Masters) with nearly identical conditions
before#'s
408rwhp/396rwtq
After:
440rwhp/418rwtq
sorry for the poor picture I'll try to fix it later

A few notes and impressions:
-my oil pressure is a steady10-15lbs more than the stock pump
-this doesn’t show on the dyno but off idle and around the cruising rpm's there is a huge gain in power over my old setup.
-idle is exactly the same as the TR224 maybe even a slight bit better?
-After an hour drive I immediately strapped it on the dyno and it pulled 432/405 before tuning. The MAF and injectors gained~4 they were dyno'd and tuned after everything else
-this time I measured the pushrod length and setting up the valve train properly and it is a lot quieter over my previous set-up

Some additional tweaking and tuning will take place over the next few weeks and hopefully I can get back to the track this weekend but I am happy with the way things turned out and only regret not doing this from the very start……
What octane are you running on that setup?

How's the car doing MSGHUFF?

This looks like an easy recipe for a HOT street car. I need this for my Camaro!

Car is doing great! I have EFI-live and a wideband so I am playing with the tuning right now......Steep learning curve!!! I am using 93 octane and drive it daily with no problems.

Do you mind a suggestion on the Injector? I am making more power then you and I only think its because of the Injectors you are using. 42# were too much, but Ford Racing 30# injectors work great. 30 on Fords scale is like 36 or so on the GM scale. Give them a try if you like. I keep telling everyone to watch their A/F ratio, some people are running rich and losing a lot of power. 12.8 or 12.9 to 1 while strapped to the dyno should yield perfect daily driving #'s for the street. Good luck, and you should be very happy. Great numbers with a medium sized cam. Give us the update when you get the final tune installed.

Default very nice numbers

Your combination seems to have inspired quite a few owners. Since the cam specifications were somewhat close to each other, do you have a guess as to how much of your power increase was due to the bump up in compression? Did the compression gain work out to about a half of a point? Nice work.

as long as he is not maxing out his injector he is fine. he can use a 30# or 42#, as long as he is set up correctly with his tuning. also, you are making more power than he is do to his 3:90s, your bigger cam, and your intake.

More like a full point I think and I have no guess on the power from just the compression. I know the package works though. Its given me everything I wanted and with the addition of a ported fast and much more tuning I'll be exactly where I want to be with my 1/4 mile times.

As far as injectors goes I will not gain anything for power by upgrading to larger 30's my afr is where it needs to be and larger injectors will only make it safer in the long run....I'm not starving for fuel.
