'99 40K mile shortblock: AFR 205's, 10:7:1 compression, TSP 233/239 .600/.603" 112LSA cam, LS6 intake, ported TB, March pulley, 1 7/8 LT headers, true 3" duals with cats, 3:90's, M6, 7100rpm redline and Katech rod bolts and ported LS6 oil pump. 439rwhp/385rwtq on 91 thru cats/exhaust. 20K miles on this combo and going strong.

Fly Cutting is for valve relief’s.
Means you cut small smiley face into your pistons to allow additional clearance for the valves to not contact the pistons.
With valve relief’s, it will allow you to run a bigger cam without the valve hitting the pistons.
