Default Dart 205 dyno numbers are in!!!

Just picked my car up from Allan. He swapped my stock LS6 heads for the Dart 205s. The heads are as cast. The car had a F14 cam, underdrive pulley, LG headers, Ported TB, FMS tune, Halltech Stinger air cleaner, and this is through the stock Z06 mufflers. The graph is below the numbers were 451 rwhp and 423 rqtq.

Your car made more peak torque than Kraest's Dart 225 combo. But Kraest's 225 combo (larger cam, 90mm FAST Intake) has better torque range for drag racing IMO, over 400ft.lbs from 4500-6000rpm. Both cars tuned by Futral. See link below

Great numbers! I think you made a great choice on the 205's over the 225's
based on your torque curve. Hopefully this will show people with smaller cams that the 205's are the way to go. So many people are mismatching smaller cams to 225's for some reason, it seems to be the trend.

Haha! of course bigger is better, right? That is, until you get waxed by someone doing more with less!

Thumbs up. Looks like these Dart heads are performing better as-cast than CNC-ported. Great job. Nice area under the curve.

Congrats! Your Z should haul like a raped ape for sure! Solid gains across the board. Dart seems to have their act together on the as cast versions. No sense in ruining a working gun with further porting.

Exclamation

Very nice numbers! About 5-10 more HP & TQ than I would have thought but none the less, very nice.

One question though, your posted numbers don't match up to the dyno graph ranges. If you made 451 RWHP, then wouldn't the dyno run/line hit the "450" mark on the graph line? I've never seen a graph were the HP & TQ lines don't match the graph range.

Obviously two years later Allan still has not fixed his dyno software. When I was at his shop two years ago on his screen it would show the actual dyno numbers. If he emailed it to you it would show your actual dyno numbers, but whenever he printed it out it would drop the graph down. I verified my dyno numbers in Florida as well and Allan's dyno software needs to be fixed.

Congrats on the gains..

The graph looks like 437/410 although the printed numbers are 451/423. Is the 437/410 the CORRECTED SAE numbers or are those the ACTUAL numbers?

The 451 is correct. The car was redynoed at 423 and that graph axis must just be off a little bit. Here was the last dyno the car did after the cam back in December, and the numbers and graph are correct. If you notice in this one the car made 423/408 and in the new one the baseline is 423/405.
