Sorry guys.... my partner Bart thought that ported heads weren't really worth anything on a stock motor....when I found out he was telling people this, I told him that wasn't the case and he should stop turning people away from good heads. Well..... he said I should put my money where my mouth was so I bet him a new set of wheels and tires for my '05 Mustang that good heads were worth 30-40 RWHP. We found someone willing to let us use his car as a guinea pig and I went to work using a new cam grind and doing up a trick set of 5.3 heads with some unique port work learned from our Super Stock LS1 engine development. They come in at a paltry 195cc's. It requires modification to the manifold as well and the customer already had a FAST intake and 90mm TB so I matched it to the new port design. The car has a stock flywheel and clutch, heavy wheels and a 12 bolt to boot. I think it will run even better with a 1-3/4 to 1-7/8" step header as well. We just put an underdrive damper on it so we will post more results as they are available.
BTW- the cam is 228/234-114 .588/.574", it idles like a ***** cat and drives as nice as a stocker.

Boy, those new wheels sure do look nice on my car......

would a more aggressive cam show more gains or would that be pointless because the cam is matched to the heads?

The graph is SAE
The rest of the info is in my post # 11
I just right clicked on the graph that I scaned and copy and pasted it into paint, then saved it as a jpeg. That is how it came out Maybe someone from HiTech came post it up correctly.

OK. SAE graphs have the correction factors along the bottom, baro/humidity/etc... What were the adjustments for correction???

Thanks
