so i just found out that we didnt tune my car to have the ls6 intake....does it really matter if my cars computer is reading that i still have the stock ls1 intake when i really have a ls6?

But you tuned your car with the LS6 intake on it ... right?

If so, then youre good.

If you plan on putting the LS6 intake on in the future, then a re-tune isnt necessary, but it would help.

The TR230 is a great street cam, much better than I expected. It's got tons of torque and hits hard where it counts. Idle's a little rough but I must admit that the sound is awesome.

Get some 5.3 AS stage 2 heads, they were made for that cam! Run a .045 gasket with Absolute Speed heads if the chambers are milled because they displace about 66 to 67cc's instead of the normal 63cc's. If your running stock heads and 918's you can shim the springs a bit and gain some RPM since the lift on the TR230 is under .6

well i re-dynoed my car this sunday and the new numbers are 390hp with 380tq.....all i added was a bullet and some taylor 10.4 wires

i have the same cam waiting to go in with a set of ported ls6 heads an ls6 intake just waiting on a pully an oil pump and i plan on porting the tb while everything is apart then off to Thunder Racing for a tune. How do you like the sound of the idle? i may have to trade in my ory for a catted one the rasp is bad now.

dude i have gotten people wet with the sound of my cam...it is freaking aweosme....there should be a sound clip on the first page if not i'll post one later
