439 RWHP 393 RWTQ 11.17 SCR 8.50 DCR

the tune is good(thanks don)the engine parts are all top notch(thanks tony for the sweet heads), i have every bolt on i can get. so it all comes back to me. i guess thats why im not an engine builder, i suck
seems my torque is low and i was hopin for 10 more hp
i dont know what im missing but after numerous questions, advice on cams(thanks patrick), researching everything, getting my dcr and scr were i wanted it, i still fall short, so i quit. all the ******* around ive done, numerous head and cam swaps, i come to a conclusion, im a lousy *** ls1tech motorhead. i should of just sent it out to a a good ls1 shop and saved myself headaches and boat loads of cash.

no dyno sheet till i pick the car up tomorrow

All I can say is don't worry about the dyno numbers. Screw what the dyno says, take the car to the track and get real world numbers. My car dynoed that much and went 10.7-10.8 in decent air.

to be honest ive had so many different combo's, it would be impossible for me to remember when i had this cam, those heads, when i got the 90mm intake, or when i got the electric water pump, or when i had the 3.9 gears or the 4.10's or when the 85 MAF went on. way to many variables

The Car runs pretty good with some good midrange feel. For nitpicking it I would say it's all in the Cam.Cam peak is 6600rpm whcih I think is affecting the whole midrange.Either way,I would just drive it and enjoy it.

I bet Pat wished he went Supercharger in the beggining

Wow man, I would've thought you had my cars setup beat for sure. You have a lot of good stuff. Were you on a stingy Mustang Dyno?? Or a generous DynoJet??

The question is, how much power am I going to pick up with the Mamo ported 90 / 90 setup?? Lou already said it might not be the best idea to go to the G5X4 with my setup. Stay with the G5X3 and add Tony's stuff. I will probably see 485 max and 440 on the tq side. Guess I won't be knocking off any C6 ZO6's Oh well, close to anyways. LOL.

408 time!

pdd--bud, has the drivability and mechanical gremlins been knocked out? I know it didn't want to idle for a while. Your parts list is all right, but I would seriously consider ditching the HS rockers. Too much weight for what? Also, an XE-R 232/236 on a 112+1 (if it'll fit) would be wonderous for your combo.

Pat, you may pick up some mid-range by advancing your cam a few degrees. Unless it was degreed-in, it might not be in at 112ICL. And even if it is, 6600rpm peak is too high. Should be 6300 with that cam if the ICL is correct. I'd advance it some and re-dyno. You torque should improve.
