Default Dart 205's Dyno Results are in!!!

Mods are listed in sig.

Best pull: 443rwhp 408rwtq

Those were peak numbers but since I lost a little low end power we tweeked it a little and final results are 434/406.

I'm very happy with the numbers but under part open throttle right when you shift into gear it goes flat, stumbles, then kicks in. So I need to figure that out.

Sweet numbers...especially the torque.

pdd, I don't mean to bash your setup but your torque numbers are incredibly low for a set of milled AFR 205s. Those are unmilled CNC LS6 torque numbers. What is the compression with that cam?

Congrats, it sounds like you have a bit more with tuning. The good old 230/224 looks like it can still get it done, along with some of the new cams out there.

Another small CAM Monster. I really could've went smaller, but I like the G5X3 too much to change. Congrats on getting big power out of a smaller cam. Two thumbs up!!!!

no bash at all. iam at a loss to were my torque went but im over 11to1SCR and 8.50dcr. i think my TEA ported 90mm intake is screwin me. im gonna junk the HS rockers too. maybe ill ditch the intake and get a mamo ported one

That's going in the right direction Pat. If you're still not satisfied with your torque, look into advancing your cam a couple of degrees.

Very good results. I ran that cam last year and was very pleased. It made 390HP in my car with cam only and full bolt-ons. It ran a best of 11.90@116mph on motor and 10.82@126.2 on a 150 shot.
I kinda wish I would have left that cam in. I now have a 234/232 591/601 114lsa. It has less lowend power and TQ. But I have not dyno'ed or fully track tested it.

That cam makes me wonder what the TR236/230 would be like!!

Any more information on those runs with the TR230, race weight? 60 foot?

Nice numbers, I have always been impressed with this cam.
Did you use stock gaskets? Were there any clearance issues?

I'm happy with the torque numbers I got, heads are as cast, not milled. No clearance issues at all, PTV clearance was good, I'm using comp cams 7.4" PR's and it gives me a preload of about .075-.085 which is in range for my comp lifters. This is with stock rockers and .051 Cometic MLS Gaskets. I will be taking it to the track sometime here, cant wait to get some numbers put down! I love my cam

dalejr81s1,
In my opinion, you need to tune your car in speed density only (MAF and NB02's deactivated) from idle to WOT in order to get the Volumetric Efficiency table right. Retard the timing about 5 to 8 degrees and use a WBO2 to set up an AFR of about 14.7 in all cells. It'll run like a dog, but you wont hurt anything at due to detonation/preignition while you are setting things up. Then return your timing table to where it was and get the power enrichment set up right for WOT (I'd shoot for about 12.8:1) That will help the drivability issues in general. Then you can re-activate MAF and the NBO2's for long term fuel trim (LTFT). I'd also try to optomize the timing for this setup. If you do this, I think that your torque and drivability will improve as will your HP.

Just my two cents.

Steve

You can omit the drop timing 5-8 degrees, this is not needed. Plus you would need to redo the VE table after reloading your timing table. Timing effects fuel.

What is wrong with your TEA ported manifold?
