Default dynoed today with fast 90 intake

Went to Futrals today and got retuned for the fast intake and N/W throttle body. considering last time it dynoed in 59 degree weather and went 428/409 , this time it was 102 degrees and went 435.1 and 400 tq.

Its like it moved the power band higher as the tq is lower up to over 5000 rpms and then it holds up there to a higher rpm before dropping off.

I dont have a scanner but I will get the digital camera out and take a picture of the graph and post that in a little while .
over all ,7 hp gain but would probably be closer to 15 to 20 in the same given air.
I can feel it on the street that it hooks a little better do to a loss of low end but it seems to screem all the way to red line now.

i would of figured more torque than a loss and more HP, but like u said maybe colder air will help out

I will see what it does at the track . Hopefully I can get it down to 11.1's since I also added lighter wheels. ( Centerline telstars ) And better hooking tires. staying with m/t drag radials but going bigger.

one more thing. when the car dynoed in the 59 degree weather, uncorrected numbers for hp was 449 hp.

today uncorrected was 427 hp. it only corrected for 8 hp so I think that it was way off considering the da was pretty high today. D/a was 2420+ at 4pm when we were on the dyno.

Yes , Allan tuned it but the a/f was dead on still. I think around 13.5 /1 on his wideband.

SAE correcting takes weather into effect.

Yes but certain extremes such as 100+ degree weather, high humidty, and ther things will skew results. It will correct to a certain degree but no matter what, a car dynoed in 50 degree weather will make more than one in 100 degree weather.

Chad, was the intake ported before you installed it? The car should pick up nicely at the track!

oh yeah! Nitrous numbers went down from 500 to 485. not sure on the tq though. WHen my maf was bad it dynoed 518 at 12.5/1 af , added slp 85 maf and air fuel dropped to 11.5 /1 and the numbers went to 500/535

Now with the fast 90 , it is 485 hp.

Maybe it is just the heat. a/f was at 11.5/1 on the nitrous pull and bottle psi was way up at 1300 psi on a 75 shot dry kit

It must be from the heat, as it is a noticable gain of power when you mash the peddle now that I have driven it more.

Wait till it cools off and try it again, then you'll see if it helped. Correction is only going to do so much. It can't take into effect how much air can fit into a givin space, so naturaly, hot humid days will have less air molecules in a givin area, thus lower power, corrected or not.

hell if I can run 119 again in the heat then it will be an improvement. last time out it was nasty at State capital in Baton rouge and only went 117.5 mph. that is down from 120 on average in good air and a best of 121
