just a question on neons..lol i ran into a buddy with a neon srt-4. i think he has a stage 2. and he says hes pushing 320hp..does this sound right? i dont know anything on these cars. thanks..
well the sad thing is those skittles can be made to make some power and they are darn right quick once in 3rd they pull hard anyway i am acually installing a new turbo on my customers stage 2 neon today with a ported exhaust manny its a custom turbo that I designed that should be better than the stage 3 turbo from dodge. He made 275 at the wheels in stage 2 trim and should be around 320 or so with the new turbo, exhaust manny and tuning.
highly doube that is at the wheels its not easy to make that much without upgrading the turbo the stock turbo is only good to 18PSI and is a very small turbo to boot. Stage 2 is not much more than a computer upgrade.

Just race him and find out...but if he is stock turbo and only a mopar stage 2 car then hes DEF not 320 front wheel horsepower...my buddies heavily modded 04 srt-4 with all the bolt ons, sick fuel system, and a .50 trim turbo made 365-370 front wheel hp, so no way he is making 320 to the wheels with only a mopar stage 2 car.

i ran a srt4 with $3500 in used mods... he had a sc42gt turbo, upgraded manifold, 3" down pipe large intercooler running 24psi and he pulled my '04 Z06 @518whp @6psi

All these stage claims can be very misleading. There are to many variables as far as which aftermarket turbo a guy can go with as opposed to a dodge turbo. My buddys SRT is "technically" a stage 2 but dont believe it for a second. Even he laughs when he has to say it when someone asks what stage it is. Well its a stage 2 but..... He has a MUCH bigger turbo and MUCH bigger FMIC with a BOV open to atmosphere and that little ****** can turn 12.36 at 118.9mph! Now thats with a 1.89 60'. And he has a NOS 75 shot that he hasnt used at the track yet but only for street racing.That little car can flat fly for what he has in it! The big end charge is amazing! It would have been cool if dodge had built that platform as all-wheel drive.
