0-1 rwhp gain. Poor hp gain per dollar spent. The FAST 90 is a much better performance piece.

Don't waste your $$$$ unless you get a 90/90.

If you are all about dyno numbers sure, it may not have gained much peak...But I noticed a pretty good increase in the curve from it...everyone that had it on their car that I sold it too would agree....

If you are all about dyno numbers sure go for the 90...but the 78 will perform well too.

This is probably the 8th time I've shared this info regarding the FAST 78....

8-11 HP over stock....Ive done the test more than once and the results have always been similar.

I originally had a ported 78 FAST on my original 346 combo with the AFR 205's and our 224/228 cam.....when I made the move to the 90 mm version I only picked up about 5-6 HP....keep in mind my stock 78 TB was also heavily reworked. Considering what I routinely see guys picking up with my ported 90 set-ups I would have to guess my ported 78 FAST with a ported 78 stock TB was worth pretty close to 20 RWHP over a stock LS6/stock 78 TB.

The FAST 78 is a solid performer but obviously the 90 unit will be a little stronger all things being equal. If you can find one for a good price don't hesitate IMO....

I am very content with my 78 mm FAST. Big improvement over the LS1 intake. My car is a lot faster then my friends h/c ls6 coupe, especially on the top end. From the dig its about traction, but from 55 on up in the right gear I'll take the FAST over the LS6 any day, my video shows the faster we go, the more I pulll on him. JMO

Comprable setups too. He has the Livernois stg II h/c pkg, I am a LG Motorsports customer all the way. Cars are very equal, but I make more power, and run better up top.

So will my stock throttle body hook up directly to the Fast 78?

It should, are you buying the fast used? If so you are going to need some diffrent valleycover bolts and maybe some more stuff depending on the tb you use.

I was thinking of just porting my stock throttle body and hooking up a Fast 78, a good price on a used one would be fine.

I started a similar thread in the External section. Does anyone have dyno sheets? Vette magazine did a dyno comparison test on a bunch of intakes and the 78mm seemed to do very well.

still hadnt got a chance to get to the dyno. I notice my biggest difference is that the car has alot more torque down low. It dosnt take a lot of gas to get the car moving, also high n the rpm when going through gears the car just throws you back in the seat.
