Default 228/232 .588/.595 110+2lsa Normal numbers?

I put down 340/352 with bolt ons, no pulley. Cam only= 390/366 Do those numbers sound right with my cam? I do have 4.10 gears in a 10 bolt with m6? Here is the graph, red=bolt ons blue=cam only. Thought I would gain lot more torque, but cant compain about the 50rwhp or the sound. I have heard that I should degree the cam and probably pick up torque. Just wondering.

Looks like it needs some tuning work across the midrange by looking at it.

hp numbers look great. as slowhawk has said=in the mid 4k range seems to need alittle more work but it looks like from 3k up you gained everywhere.

What kind of timing are you running in the low and mid-range? Where was the A/F ratio measured? In the tail pipe? At a bung?

If you have a way to adjust your cam timing, you would pick up more mid-range torque by advancing the cam an additional 2 degrees. Cam-only cars need a big boost in dynamic compression to show those mid-range torque gains.

Not sure about the mid range exactly, but I thought the timing was around 30*. As for the a/f I dont have bungs, it was from inside the dumps, which I have heard is not very reliable. I just have ls2 timing chain, not sure if I want to go adjustable. Since this is just my dd street car, and when racing the rpms stay up there with the 4.10s so low end torque doesn't matter right? It pulls alot harder for sure, but most cam only numbers I see have less of a split.

hey, okls1, that's my cam!! lol

50rwhp! that is pretty good!
i gather you installed it straight up.
i am doing mine pretty soon, but am also adding stage 2 heads.
planning on doing it straight up as well.
hopefully, my dynamic compression will be good enough for healthy gains as well.

congrats!

I have the same cam in my car, it made 400/400 at the wheels. Everything above 4900 was over 375. And its an automatic with a big *** converter and tall *** gears.

Nice numbers moore And jeg yes I installed dot to dot. I did have 110+2, but I think it needs to be degreed cus does not seem like there is 2* advance? Oh well it moves good and sounds great Wish I had heads... maybe soon.

Oh and the spike in a/f is just because the sensor was in the back of the dumps. I dont have an o2 bung to use. My tuner said it was just reading high.

I agree , we did that two days ago & we could barely see 8-12rwtq at 4200-4300rpm on 25* since it was a bit rich then leaned it out then we tried to add some more timing but unfortunately we got 2* KR at 26*

peace

hey, okls1,
you know, you are the second person i read of that says they need to degree this cam, b/c it does not seem like there is the 2* advance.
like you, i don't really want to buy a double roller chain.
oh, well! still good gains, though.

so, you like how it moves. that's good.

hey, mooresGTO,

those are great numbers.
did you think it was going to be more than that?
i have the same car, except an M12.
i am hoping for more, but we'll see soon enough.
did you degree yours?

Well I talked to a guy with a vette with same cam, and after he had it degreed it made like 20rwtq more but 5rwhp less. His end numbers were both around 382 I believe. But when racing rpms dont drop much, especially with 4.10s so maybe more horsepower is better? I like how it moves, but having issues with the hydrolics right now...

Also wondering if you degreed that cam moores?

i think i spoke to the same guy.
maybe, could it be you guys have the stock heads, and, when he degreed it, he actually advance 2 more degrees?
i'll see if i can ask him.

let's see what moores says.

problems with your hydraulic lifters?
i have an extra set if you need some. let it go for cheap.

later, bro.

hey, louis,

did you degree yours in or straight up?
if you ended up degreeing it, did you advance it 2 more degrees?
