Katech cams

Has anyone used the 229 / 229 @ .050, .576 / .576 lift, 116 LSA stg2 cam? I did a search but didnt come up with anything. Just seems like it would be a fun street cam.

I made a post in the Internal section asking about this cam but noone, not even Katech posted vids or clips or a power gains.
I dont think anyone has it.

I think i would like to try this in my wifes SS. I thought it might work well with some ls6 heads, and she wants more power than the ls6 cam thats in it. soo ANYBODY???

I think it should do preatty good in some PRC stage I LS6s.
Thats the combo I was thinking about. I really want AFRs but now im kinda forced to go low budget.

There are other cams with similar profiles that have already been tested. If you wanna be the first person to run a cam that not even the manufacturer wants to talk about, go for it. Just dont be surprised if it doesnt make power.

I didnt ask about similar cams, and good call just cause its not a mainstream cam it wont make power. Cause in the end valve events and SCR/DCR dont matter

Typical internet warrior post. I didnt say that it wouldnt make power, just said there isnt evidence that puts it above any other obscure cam. Dont try and spout out your new found phrases like "valve events",SCR and DCR. They dont add validity to your post. Anyone can go tear apart a cam by every spec from .005-.600 and see exactly what the "events" are. At the end of the day, it only matters if the cam makes power, and more often than not some other guy has already done the legwork to find that out. There are plenty of shops that grind a cam that should work by the specs, and end up 20hp low. Happens every day.
