Smile Got my First Dyno Yesterday

Yep. It put down 320.28 HP and 307.78 Torque. The second Time It put down 318, 309. Pretty much stock. Lid and open cutout on factory exhaust. Headers, clutch and some suspension parts coming Christmas time.

I like the torque curve. How I have almost 300 ft lbs of torque at 1,700RPM.

Here's the graph. I have a video of It but I don't feel like uploading It.

Those graph lines should not be that bumpy. Next time, for more accurate numbers, have the dyno operator use #5 smoothing. This will help eliminate the transient peaks and valleys on the graph and also give you a better representation of where your HP and TQ actually peak at. The downside is that you will get somewhat lower, more realistic numbers.

looks like it says smoothing 5 in the right corner, sad thing is if that's the graph after smoothing I'd hate to see what it looked like before...

I missed that, I agree, either the car or the dyno has some problems.

What could cause that? Yeah. It says #5 smoothing.

You're in Austin? So am I. Where is ART? never heard of them before. I just did my stock motor dyno up at Colvin but I'm buddies with the owners of Boost Logic so was close to them and Colvin treated me good.

I think your car either has too much advance....Well that's my guess. I was going to say bad gas or a bad plug/wire but your power level is fine.

Again, if that really is on Smoothing 5, that's horrible in terms of bounce, however I don't think there is anything to worry about I've seen way worse. Do you have your original file? If you do, send it to me I can load it in win-pep and make sure that was on 5 but the paper says 5 to me.

Yeah. I'm right south of Austin. They said they would send me the file. I'm waiting on It. I downloaded winPEP. What all will It tell you? Will It just give you a graph or does It tell you more?

Don't worry about that, the car wasn't going to make more power then it already had with the stock cam. Oh you can download the software yourself from dynojet's website and play around with it on your PC. If you'd like I can get a digital image of your dyno and e-mail it to you so you don't have to post a photo of it (if you want) but really you can do all that yourself on your PC.

That being said, I'd really like to see how crazy that graph is with the smoothing on 1

Good luck with your ride man!

Thanks man. I think I could figure It out but If I can't I'll give you a shout.

I'm going to clean my MAF sensor. I posted my graph on a local board and someone recomended I clean It. My AFR was 15.2. Which makes since cause I drive down some dusty roads so I probably put too much oil on my K&N.

Just my opinion. The dyno may have had an RPM pickup signal problem. Because the HP/TQ numbers and graph lines are computed with the engine's RPM as a factor, if that signal was erratic, so will your HP/TQ numbers and graph. I doubt that you have a car issue. However, such signal problems should be quickly solvable unless they have a defective componant and such dyno results should not be handed out without a good expanation and possible price adjustment.

That is a great point. I guess you could ask them to show you other cars over the last 20 days and see how those look.

That's a good point. When he clamped on the ground the first time it wasn't grounded good so he wiggled it and it worked. Maybe It still didn't have a good ground.
