any numbers from non-fast intake cars?
Ok, so we are seeing all these good numbers from afr, prc, tfs, and etp heads with all the boltons including the fast 90 with 90 mm throttlebody.
Now, are there any numbers from anyone with just the normal ls6 intake using the above mentioned heads? It seems everyone always uses the better intake when doing the more expensive heads, which I guess makes sense if you have the money. However, it would be nice to see the comparison of these more expensive heads with the lower budget heads using a normal ls6 intake on all of them.
I want to do heads/cam with all of the normal boltons soon but I will not be upgrading to the fast anytime soon. What kind of numbers can a guy expect with just the ls6 intake?
-using a tr224 112 cam for what it is worth......

you're gonna have to go back to the archives for info about cars w/o fast intakes, and especially if all you're gonna run in a 224 cam. That's a VERY conservative, but proven setup.
Depending on the heads, and if you have them milled, you should expect anywhere from 390-410 out of your M6. That is on a dynojet btw.

ls6 intake is best for a stock-cube DD, Fast intakes are good for m6 cars but meant for strokers. If you look at a lot of these H/C graphs with 90/90, below 3500rpm will be a good amount weaker than with ls6intake on 346ci(top-end gained but low-end sacrificed), when your an m6 and looking for every bit of power at the track, 90/90 is the way to go. A good HC 224cam will make 410-420 easy with the ls6 intake and have torque like crazy.

With that aside, people were going fast on the LS6 intake before the 90 existed. My old set-up (all though never tracked with the cam, went 12.44 before the cam on a 2.01 60') was:
FTRA
Lid
Ported Maf ends
LS6
Pacesetter headers
Dual electric cut outs
ASP Pulley
Stock heads (01 car)
TR236 cam (236/230 .595/.583
Made 405rwhp with the cam (335rwhp with out cam and pulley)
