i have been told the same things.... people just talk a lot of ****!!! you cant always believe everything you hear! there are pics in my car domain, so you can get an idea of how it hangs. as long as it is installed correctly, then ground clearance wont be a problem! just dont drive it like a lifted truck! as for not making power, there are plenty of people on these forums that can prove that wrong!!

Better keep lots of check valves handy for the oiling system, mine liked to dump oil into the FMIC. And FWIW, you might wanna have another tuner look at the car. I put down 513/538 at 7psi on the GT67 through a TH-400! Stock heads, TR224 112 cam Not trying to bust your *****. If it were me, I'd take the chance of another tuner/dyno tune for a couple hundred bucks to possibly pick-up another 30-40rwhp and tq. And my bet is the tranny doesn't last a month if you beat on it much.

And HondaHunter, do this: PRC heads, Nice cam, and some spray. You'll go faster, and do it much cheaper. That's what I'm doing second time around. I learned that FI isn't for someone who is looking for a budget turbo kit.

what other mods, those numbers for 7psi on a stock motor with cam are very unrealistic unless it's some magical cam.

Are you asking me? It was a TR224/224 .563/.563 112 cam. Not a turbo cam at all!!!! Those numbers are possible thanks to a *pimp* tuner. Car went 10.79@130. That's low 10-sec mph, but it was a pig to the 60. 1.7X. We debated a 75 shot outta the hole. Sold the kit before that, though. Gonna go H/C/S this time 'round.

well i would, but tuning is scarce around where i live. I took my car up north 200+ miles to get this tune!! i am pretty happy with how the car drives, so the numbers dont really matter as much, but they are something to go off of! it feels fast!!

yep, i found that out the hard way..... just be prepared for the unexpected!! i am now in search of a tranny 'cause i just lost 2nd...

There are plenty of STS cars in the 10's and 9's.

10s arent too common for fbod STS kits though and i dont think there has been an fbod in the 9s yet with an STS kit. Longrange and TRT are tryin to break that AFAIK

Show me some info on them.. I only know of 2.. That arent extreme setups... Im talking daily drivers at least not full time race cars.

I have nothing against the sts.. I have one thats why Im looking for as much info as I can on the ones making it to the 10's..

Jeff of Performance Specialties, Inc. in Glen Burnie, MD. One of the best kept secrets. He is one of the best tuners on the east coast!!! I was only running 7.5 psi with a small motor cam in the car. When I did it back in March, I was only the 2nd F-body, stock motor, STS cars in the 10's and at the time, I was the fastest. E.T. and mph.

Jeff's board name is GrannySShifting. He is the same guy that tuned ATVracer 's car and made it possible for him to win "most legit street car" in Pump Gas Drags '06

Nice numbers, can't wait to see what she runs
Was that cam specifically designed for the STS, or it is something you already had?

thanks dude.... i got the cam from Billy at TRT, i had it in for a few weeks before the STS kit went on. i needed something that ran with the stock tune, as i dont have any local tuners, and it happened to work out pretty good with the turbo as well!
