If you look at my post again I noted they had Ls6 heads. Both the heads are from tsp and they flow nearly the same numbers. I didnt notice the first one had LS6 heads.

But anyways the one with 460rwhp if you did add a ported fast 90/90 how much power would you gain. maybe 20-25rwhp. That equals 480+rwhp.

I stated i would gain 40-50rwhp with more compression, better headers, no cats, fast 90/90, true dual exhaust and a underdrive balancer. Does that not sound reasonable?

That would put my car at 460-470rwhp.

I think your estimates are pretty accurate. Dyno numbers vary widely for the same set of heads for a lot of reasons. I've seen AFR 205s with 420 rwhp and I've seen them with 505 rwhp. What's the difference? Attention to detail, better bolt-ons, higher compression, better cam selection, and maybe even (gasp) a happier dyno. I do not doubt one bit that if you got your compression closer to 11.5:1, ran a .040" gasket, got an UD pulley, EWP, ported FAST 90/90, and better flowing exhaust you could be in the 470+ rwhp range with the SAME cam and SAME heads. But if you look at the costs of the components required to get you from where you are now to that higher number, you may decide it's not worth it. Fortunately, you have an excellent set of heads and will prove an outstanding foundation to chipping away at those hidden ponies as the dollars become available.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

Your exactly right, In my opinion the extra horsepower was not worth it to me. I knew exactly what I was doing when I bought my parts. I wanted dependable and well fitting parts that I found no complaints about(example GM gaskets and dynatech headers).

What did you dyno without the heads ?? I'm running almost the same stuff on my GTO and I just ordered a set of heads like yours. I was wondering what kind of gain I should see...

I never dynoed the car before heads. cam and headers. But the car ran very strong and I broke a few peoples hearts. I would guess with lid, magnaflow, ssra, slp maf it was around 310-320rwhp.

I would guess you would see about 30-40rwhp gain with the 5.3L heads
and up to 50 if you added long tube headers at the same time.

The car and engine looks really nice I like your setup.
