Got my stock LS1 on the dyno

284.56 HP

295.49 TQ

before i got on the dyno, he says he usually sees 270-290 on stock ls1's. seems a little low to me...oh well, i just wanted a baseline before mods.

sorry, A4. the sheet says dynojet research. miscalibrated maybe? i would just think mine was weak, but he says that's the upper end of average of what he sees. said he had one freak 305 hp.

Not all LS1's have 300whp. Some have dynoed around 272whp. That said your car isn't weak, and it's all in what you run at the track anyways.

That doesn't sound right at all, my T/A is stock except for a lid and a cat-back (woopty doo) and I put down 323rwhp!

not all dynos are the same. UNlimited, that could be a high reading and locrain this could have been a low reading. its hard to tell with dynos, the track is where the power is suppose to be measured.

You just can't compare A4 and M6 dynos. A4's will always be significantly less. What the dyno isn't going to show you is the torque multiplication put out by the converter, and that's where the A4 will make it up. To paraphrase your sig, it's not what you put down, but how fast it will get you there!

First dyno run on my 02 T/A stock out of showroom was 304.5 RWHP, 318 TQ on a
DynoJet dyno. Last time out with all bolt-ons and LT's was 347 RWHP, 359 TQ on the same machine. Always return to the same dyno when new mods are added.
