98 A4 tr224 some bolt ons
bought the car almost a month ago and heres what it have:
129700 miles
LT,ORY,LS6 intake,Lid,slp CAI,ls6 oil pump (don`t know ported or not only from tr as he said)
new MSD wires
new fuel pump and filter
new AC Delco spark plugs
new AC Delco Air Filter
and the owner said it had a tr224 three months ago with comp 918 springs installed, the cam card said 224 224 56x 56x 114.5 lsa
a muffler or catback is out of the question (tickets and an inspection to make sure you removed it here!) I actually removed the flowmaster and put a stock muffler.
any way it dynoed this in third gear (don`t know locked or not) on a dynojet :
STD: 329.67 hp 325.12 tq
SAE: 321.24 hp 316.80 tq
thought I`ll do 34x hp and 35x tq at least SAE....
(is this sh*t cammed?)
I see people with bolt ons on the board with the numbers I hoped for with a cam!
the idle is good many people didn`t know it`s cammed (although it rarely dip down and die in traffic at stops mostly I think with the a/c on but it did it without)
it idles hot at 800-900 sometimes 1100 rpm.
don`t think it`s tuned because the O2 and egr codes are still not removed and in N the rev limiter is around 6k rpm plus it has a speed limit at 160 mph ... but the thing is that the a/f ratio is pretty good as you`ll see from the dynosheet (13.2 going down to 12.8 from what I can see)
but my speedo is off arond 12-14 mph reading more than actual (maybe the aftermarket 17 rims that the owner put) or the whining 3.2x rear that I don`t know the original an upgrade from a 2.7x.
it drives like a stock car (good I didn`t spend the money on that cam
) but there is a trans problem when at full throttle it hits the rev limiter a few times before going to 3rd but at normal driving no problem .....and from a 26-30 driving the full throttle it`ll take some time to shift back to 1st (more than normal) ... a trans shop said there`s no trans codes and mostly it`s a bad converter.don`t know how to post the pic directly I might learn and try but maybe someone will do it
(what do you think I should remove from the thread I wrote too much I think it`s kinda boring and not necessary)

Well, he doesn't know if the converter was locked or not. That would make a big difference.
why did he (if he did) tune it without removing the egr, rear O2 codes and didn`t rais the rev limiter and increase the shift point (with the shift stiffness if desired)? that`s just stupid if he did.
then the numbers are normal if it`s almost the same as yours when cammed only unlocked.
