A4/A3 Vs. M6 loss/gain.
This was intended for those of you that have done tranny swaps, A4/A3 to Ms and vice verse. What were your power gains/losses from the swap? Im interested in real world results, not just the average rule of thumb. I know all combos will vary to an extent given all the variables and there is no exact science in this but tell me your results or oppinions.

If your really interested in real world results go to the track and see what the car runs et/mph. Those will be the best results, there are way too many variables w/ the auto to worry about dyno results.

A freind of mine recently traded his M6 for an A4, with a locked converter he lost 3hp and 4tq, he had the aluminum flywheel and light weight clutch also.
I was surprised with his results.

You will lose power through an auto, but chances are you will run a lot fast at the track. Do you want to brag about more power or being fast? Personally I would rather be faster

Jeremiah, it seems to vary around here, some lost minimal (like Mikes car), some lose more, it seems the average is about 15-20 RWHP on decent setups (not cam only cars). If you're swapping that one out I know someone who would want to trade! *cough* Reza *cough*
