Default why should i not be disappointed??

i sent my new car in for dyno tuning yesterday and i have to say i am really not happy with the #'s i got but maybe i expect too much...
car is a '98 T/A A4
mods...
torquer v 2 cam 232/234 595/598 112 lsa
tci street fighter 3500 stall
160* stat
3.42 gear
hooker long tubes
hooker ory
magnaflow catback
#'s i put down 331.7 @ 6600 rpm
284.9 @ 5200 rpm
i was really expecting a higher horsepower & torque #. now the reason i expected more is that my 01 dynoed about the same torque # and the horse power was 295-298 thru an A4.
so am i just expecting too muchfrom a 98 or what??

You're signature says you need a tune. You're right, you do.

I think amsterdam was being sarcastic.

Your torque numbers seem real low. I would've expected 330-340 rwtq.

This is my results with that cam from last weekend. I see you have a 98' too. I have talked to a few people having problems getting 98' model year LS1s to make big power with stock heads (I'm another one, so far)

Wheres the LS6 intake? Wheres the cut-out? You have an auto, so dont be too concerned with dyno numbers.

i know that i need to do heads and the intake but those numbers just seem way to low to me. i also forgot to mention that this was on a mustang dyno.

Not bad numbers on a Mustang. A DJ would be 360-370RWHP.

the more people i talk to today are telling me that as well. is there really that big of a difference between the dynos?? and i know that i sound like i am getting hung up on the #'s really bad and the true story will be @ the track. but one of the reasons i sold my 01 was because i was sick of getting spanked by similar cars all the time (meaning almost stock) and i just though that i had bought a (modded) car that i could be happy with for a while, and judging by alot of other people's results i will still be taking it by similarly modded cars.

Not horrible, but not great either now that you told us it was tuned on a Mustang Dyno. Just enjoy it and take care of it. It should last a long time considering the power level you are at.

Do you know if the converter was locked or not? Sorry if you mentioned that, I might have missed that.

no i don't know that and i forgot to ask the tuner. the car is going back in tomm to sort out some drivabilty issues so i will be sure to ask him. does this also make a significant difference?? i am not too well versed on the converter and trans stuff.

Wow, I was dissapointed with my numbers, and I have stock internals... you do have an A4, but if it doesn't feel stronger, maybe they did a shitty tune?
Thats what I was thinking with mine, but it feels alot stonger, although it might be the torque speaking... I don't think my graph was all that accurate...

I'd go back to them and complain, if it felt stronger it would be a different story.
